Farm different dungeons.
People who can actually do other dungeons quickly will benefit from this change.
I do other dungeons quickly already, I don’t do cof at all. I wont benefit from changes to CoF, I just wont be affected by them.

You will be earning more gold in those other dungeons though. Cof farmers will be earning less, proper dungeon runners will be earning more.

It really doesn’t bother me at all. I haven’t farmed CoF for a while, but I used to farm the crap out of it. Got my first legendary that way. These days I usually run full sets of CoE and/or TA, various Arah paths and whatever random dungeon friends may be doing. I think even hardcore CoF farmers have to admit this is a positive change for the game.

True but atleast people who want to earn alot of money in a day will be forced to do other dungeons aswell as CoE as they will only be able to get the bonus gold once for each of the 3 paths of CoE. I imagine CoE will be the new farm dungeon but others will become more popular aswell.

I dont’ think you get what I’m saying. People are doing speed run on all path. like 6 minutes cof path 1, follow by 8 minutes path 2, followed by 7 minutes SE path 1, followed by 8 minutes AC path 1, etc etc..
Well, that’s variety.
I did some pug CoF earlier, tried to join the strictest group I could find on LFG.
PUGs are still fricking awful at it. 8 minutes runs. They have no idea what to do beyond the basics. When these guys get booted out to other dungeons, they’re gonna have no clue. I used to think that pushing them to other dungeons would spread the “zerk = good” playstyle, but they’re gonna fold like crappy poker hand as soon as they step into anything harder than CoF, which is like, everything else.
So yeah, kittenty pugs are getting their ball taken away. Good dungeon groups who know how to run everything quickly will be rewarded. This is a step in the right direction.

I tried a few dungeon solo yesterday to learn some of the dungeon better. The zerk style will always be the standard to speedrun.

I think those people who farm cof 10 hours a day, won’t have a problem farming other dungeon.
The 4 warrior, 1 mesmer cof group is always faster because those farmers are usually the more experienced people. The typical all berserker any class group are usually much slower because “those guys are inexperienced”. Else every berserker group should only be 1 minutes slower than the typical 4 warrior group.
The pug community farming CoF 1 as warrios/mesmer are not more experienced. They suck. If you’re doing hours of farming and you can’t beat 7 minutes in your run, you’re garbage. When these kiddies get tossed into other dungeons they’re gonna throw a fit, and their clear times are gonna be 30-60 minutes on anything else.

I’m tired of soloing Lupicus and getting kicked after I kill him because it took too long and I could have rezzed people. Please, send in the CoF farmers.

I’ve never seen an “every class” group that’s all berserker. But you are correct, your typical “all class” group is even worse at CoF than the warriors. But I don’t think those warriors are going to do any better outside of CoF than the All Class Group.
Can you imagine what your average 4W/1M group who only does CoF is going to do on their first Arah P3?

I used to say the exact same thing. Until I went and pugged CoF the other day, the first time I’d done it since February I think. Try it if you haven’t in a while, you’ll see what I mean.

are you joking? berserker is the best set for arah. Those arah group which don’t use berserker are much worse.
I joined an arah 4 group who have been stuck for 5 hours. And the moment I joined we kill the boss immediately. they dont’ have enough dps. ghost slayign sigil + force axe/mace helped them there.
It’s true those zerker warrior might have a hard time. At least they have a much easier time than the other non zerekr toon

At least CoF farming elitists melee things, not range. Trying to do Lupicus with one spastic ranging and backpedaling around the room is the most frustrating thing ever. You do less harm to your team by just dying than dragging Lupi around everywhere while your melee try to keep up >.>

Not really… Many people are playing a “farm warrior” just in CoF and nowhere else. They still play their range condition necro and think they are useful. It’s really sad but there are still players that think berserker is only for CoF
That’s why I’m always happy when I can melee Lupicus with a good team^^
your typical CoF farmers outside of CoF are usually a disaster. Like, “don’t know what red circles are” disaster. :/
Actually worried that some of the currently pug-able dungeons will cease to be so when the CoF baddie train arrives. I can see it now:
“No, jump OVER the lasers guys.’
“Okay, you count 1, then 2, then dodge.”
“No, I already explained what 1-4 means.”
And then the inevitable parade of guardian blaming, calling on the mesmers to use skills constantly as if they have no cooldowns, complaining that they weren’t rezzed instantly, etc. But it’s a good change over all.
This is going to ruin plugging dungeons. When I used to farm cof p1 I realized a lot of those people who only ran cof considered it to be hard…, now imagine that skill level added to the already (normally) sub par skill level of the average pug.
