Let’s just post the rewards here to get all the numbers in one place as people do paths, just to get all the numbers in one place.

Based on the two data points so far, I guess Anet just heavy handedly cut gold rewards to 1/3. Will have to see though as the numbers come in
If CoF path 1 is worth more than 30 silver, I will be pleasantly surprised.
… Not that I’ll ever actually run it again, sadly.

Of course the nerf was heavy handed. It was designed to deincentivize players from playing the unsupported dungeons and directing them to the supported content that is fractals.
I worried half a year ago that dungeons could become ghost towns after the expansion, and decided to try get as many dungeons path done as possible before unlocking dungeon skins became a PVP-only concept. Everyone said that this would not happen.
Well, here we are now and I will just bring up party search and see who was right… Every single dungeon room is empty except for arah, since there is people who want to do story.

Behellagh you’re joking right? It’s a 66% reward reduction. That makes it below pretty much every other gold generating activity, even below casuals doing Gathering runs.
Still better than farming open world trash mobs, or is it really?

It’s ridiculous. With the installation of map rewards and not nerfing event loots, farming in for example Cursed Shore is even better than before.

What I have noticed up to know is you should get at least 40s from daily fotm lvl 30+, then it comes down to RNG to decide if you deserve the more profitable merchable junk. Did all fractal dailies, got tomes, a few extra gold and infusions. That’s it.
Thanks for ruining my favorite content of the game Dungeons. To me dungeons are very fun with great loot and to top it off you get a 1 gold bonus chest at the end. Now with the new patch no one wants to do dungeons with me and ruined my fun. Oh and the new Fractals don’t make sense. You get a chest and have to buy a key to where 80% of the time you get trash that ain’t worth the key you bought. I loved the way before you get 4 challenging fractal levels with good loot and at the end a daily reward for a possible ascended reward. I may got a reward 1 out of 4 times but it was worth the fight!

Man. So the economy guys dug their mitts in to fractals, and decided it should no longer earn money, but cost money.

Not really popular enough in any of my guilds to be selected for the raid or fractal groups and dungeons were the only content I really ran regularly. Kinda regretting wasting my money on the expansion just to have the content I enjoyed the most gutted and abandoned. Maybe it’s time to move on.

t6 mats are going to drop way down in price, which is a big indirect nerf to SW. Might not be a 66% nerf, but it will be a big one. So its not like dungeons are the only part of the game thats changing.
So, on the positive side, it isn’t quite a 66% nerf. The dungeons that gave 1 gold + 26 silver before now give 35 silver + 26 silver, which is closer to 50%.
On the negative side, dungeons give a lot less experience, which is what I thought was going to be their saving grace. This is quite annoying given that it is not what I thought was meant by “liquid rewards”.
On the very negative side, they paid absolutely no attention to our recommendations back when they were collecting them because they wanted to pretend they cared about dungeons. The one piece of feedback that was almost universally given was that Ascalonian Catacombs should be brought into line with other easy dungeons. This was ignored. You can count me among the cynical now.

they also destroyed fractals though, and thats content they supposedly want people to play.
i did 3 fractals which is basically the daily and i got like 30 silver some blues and greens and 5 large bones.
i guess you need fractal mastery to get anything of value from fractals now

Well if this is what they have done to form/dungeons just wait for raids

Probably closer to 45% if you consider tokens. Random number pulled out of nowhere because I don’t know the value of ecto or insignias.

Only 60 tears? I shed like 120

Shame, I didn’t mind the gold reduction because I thought I would still be able to do decent Tyria mastery training in dungeons, and get some tokens to MF exotics occasionally…
