So I get my little Asura Guardian to the end of the game to fight Zhaitan, and there is literally nobody around there except a single AFK player. I start shouting out in the chat for anyone to do the dungeon but I get no replies. I’ve returned several times since to find it no different.
Soooo…. I play through the entire campaign only to find out I can’t actually defeat the undead dragon because there aren’t enough people around.
So screw that, right? So I decide to work on my Elementalist and decide I want to try the Sorrow’s Embrace dungeon. (Haha, almost called it Sorrow’s Furnace…) But, lo and behold, no one is there. I shout out, but nobody around wants to do it.
Now, I’m not on a guild simply because my guild from GW1 didn’t stick around for GW2, and people in game are remarkably antisocial and don’t respond when I talk to them, so I don’t have the support of a guild to help me out with dungeons. But there is nobody around for PUGs… this is very different from my GW1 experience, which is kind of sad. I remember at the launch of GW2, there would be crowds around these dungeons, but now everyone is gone.
What am I doing wrong? Is this normal? Am I just on a crummy server? (Yak’s Bend) Do I need to go to a hub like LA for a PUG or something? It’s just really frustrating because I’m trying to keep playing the game, but I’m running out of things to do without just grinding a new character up to level 80 for kicks. But not being able to go through dungeons even for just the gear is kind of a let down.
