They kick three of us Just to sell the slot
Well regardless of what the game means to one person in specific this shouldn’t be. Systems should be in place to prevent this. Meanwhile browse the web or pay attention to map chat so you can find a guild where you can run arah and feel safe.
Don’t put the complaint on the forums. Don’t put the names on the forums.
Send a ticket to support with the names. Tell them what happened. Kicking is ok. Selling is ok. Kicking to sell the spot is not ok.
From my experience, don’t even bother reporting to support as you will only get an automated response which won’t not even remotely be related to what u want.
Also, posting their names will most likely get you an infraction.
As for the solution, the one i found was to make their life ingame a bit harder in any way you want, but i had nothing better to do <,<
always be the first one in the dungeon instance — it’s your only protection because it doesn’t look like Anet is ever going to do anything about this issue.
2 guildies, 3 pugs. Theres ur sign.
When u see that u leave but for ultimate protection you should always start the instance.
Anet will probably never fix the asinine instance system they built. They suck when it comes to that sort of stuff.
I was in the same Party and got kicked by them, too. They invited me after Lupicus to finish with them, but after we killed Alphard, they kicked me. And yes, I am sure, that it was not because I´m bad and btw i saw them selling it some minutes later, too.
I remember their names….
Just constantly join their LFG that sells, at the very least they will have ot kick you. If you want to get really advance group up with the others who got kicked. Then merge parties, as soon as you see their name start kicking them. at the very least you will get lucky and kick the creator and make them restart the dungeon again.
Spot selling is a no-no, that’s true. Should just be allowed to keep the chat logs to see who kicked and report them for it. They get a warning the first time, a temporary suspension the second time, and long-term ban from using the LFG tool the third time.
Spot selling is not against game rules. Kicking people and selling their spots for no reason, however, can be considered griefing.
Ok, I will be honest and say that I have considered buying spots just to complete that stupid Arah dungeon because pugging path 2 and 4 is a complete nightmare. However, I hesitate and still hesitate because deep down, I know I am probably supporting a really bad habit that people have developped – and that’s kicking players to sell spots.
I think it’s equally disgusting to kick someone after helping them get through 90% of the dungeon and they decided give your spot to a guildie / friend. It’s not the game that’s bad, just people unable to see other players as “people”.
Thats a myth. Most of the sellers solo or duo the paths and sell. The problem is atm 90% of path 2 sellers skip lupi.
Actually can’t stand people who do stuff like this.
Also, I know of someone who sells spots after solo’ing the dungeon, only to get kicked by two people who’ll join just to ruin his hard work and effort.
Ban them permanently.

Don’t ban them permanently… just make their gaming experience a little more annoying like remove 90% of their gold or take all their armor away so they have to re buy it. Permanent red downed penalty. Random instant deaths. Events stop yielding rewards. No daily available. Can’t do WvW. Chat functionality removed. No drops from mobs. Nothing counts towards acheivments. Nothing is more demoralizing than working hard for something only to have it taken from you :P
Don’t get mad… get even.
