They should just nerf arah exp...
u wot m8.
Open a lfg, wait a few mins (or less, depending on the time) and do the path, gg. You can completely ignore the sellers and pug Arah.
Is this enough for a bingo btw?[/quote]
I never see anyone doing it except for the very rare chance
You don’t see it because they fill up fast and don’t just sit there. Whenever I put up a pug for Arah (for the lulz) it fills within 5 minutes. Whenever I sell, it takes 30 minutes. So if you were just glancing at the lfg, you’d be much more likely to see the selling path than my PUG, because my PUG is already happily inside the dungeon (and failing skips, etc.).
Really tough call here, I am inclined to believe it’s a troll post, but so much of it sounds… how you say, believable?
No arah selling is not making the game toxic, but there are plenty of other things that do!
I make no requirement Arah pugs (so anyone from the casualiest casual and the most el33tist zerkburger can join) and they fill very quickly.
Where is the problem? No casuals are being gated, my parties fill very quickly.
Selling Arah is in no way toxic for this game: ‘Casual players’ get their tokens, while the seller[s] get their gold. No one loses.
It is still possible to pug arah, I do at least 3 paths every day.
Nerfing the difficulty of arah explorable would just increase the amount of sellers because a lot of buyers just buy the path because they don’t have time to run the path, not because the path is too difficult.
I like dungeons and Ikea.
aka Cotscene.
I have to agree with Maha. (I know right!?) If you are creating your own LFG it isn’t even an issue. I rarely run Arah anyway, but just because someone is selling a path doesn’t mean anyone HAS to buy it. People who are impatient, don’t want to run it, etc. are willing to pay, and they get what they paid for, and the seller gets his money. It’s a win-win.
As far as being in a big guild, I don’t see what that has to do with anything. They generally are doing it solo up until the end. So being in any size guild isn’t really a factor.
It’s the chain I beat you with until you
recognize my command!”
The only arah selling that is toxic for the game are the exploiters. People that don’t do the path yet acquire money for it as if they did… those people are the ones that need to be stopped and only Arenanet can. Not by invisible walls, but by making it so that you can’t freaking skip Lupicus anymore.
What’s toxic about selling paths? Are you planning on running the shops out of your town with torches and pitchforks? Some people buy and some people sell!
Maxinion already made the point that you can wait longer to sell the path than you did to do it! The only thing toxic here are posts like these.
I pretty much only pug nowadays, and I run at least p1-3 every day. If there’s a p4 up, I more than likely will join it for the lolz. Yeah, I sell too, but only non-exploited runs. Believe me, there are a lot more things making things toxic than Arah sellers.
Yeah.
If you think Arah selling is toxic you’re not going to believe this picture!!!
2 things way more toxic that Arah selling. You’ll never PHYW the same way again!!!
This new trend of articles….now that’s really toxic.
One of the problems is probably the PUGs who melee Lupicus and kick others who don’t. Anyone wanting to learn on the spot is going to find melee really hard, with 3 stages, unless they watch a video first. Arah shouldn’t just be for those who learn from videos.
(I’ve not got a solution, but this could be a problem)

The people that loses are the ones that I kick to make spots for buyers. So much gold pouring in and ANet doesn’t regulate it.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Ranged players during Lupicus screw up the boss encounter for everyone. At the very least by making it longer due to shadowstep invulnerability.
And Lupicus not as hard as people make him seem. I had first timers from my guild melee him without wiping. Grubs, misused reflects/stability/aegises but noone died.
“Arena net, I am bad. Other people are way better than me because they dedicated time and hard work to learn how to solo those paths. I do not want to waste my time like these suckers, so please make it a walk in the park like the rest of the game. Thanks.”

imagine if there was a mentoring guild where you could be taught arah with a teacher without there being any sort of pressure to learn immediately on the fly
oh wait
You obv can’t do arah and want Anet to nerf it so you can stop wasting money buying paths.

pffft, please, try skipping more than half the bosses in arah P4
Oh my, toxicity level over 9000!
This is what I love about these forums, there’s always something to read that will put a grin on my face at the break of dawn.
On a more serious note, exploited run selling is the only thing that ticks me off as I do not find it the least bit funny that people are able to profit from exploiting without any repercussions although the buyers are as much to blame as the exploiters themselves, people need to be conscious if they’re buying exploited runs or not which is easily done by making sure there’s a waypoint unlocked at Lupicus. And the exploited run selling problem extends well beyond Arah, open up your LFG on AC and see the amount of thieves selling P1 for even less than you get from your daily reward *hint*
