Thief or Ranger in raids, which?
In general, it’s best to have a variety of classes available to play, so you’re not bottlenecked into a single role every time. Makes you more in demand. That said, in choosing between druid and daredevil, I would choose …
Druid. Almost every single group takes a druid for healing, while a daredevil is “any dps.” And daredevils provide no group utility. Don’t get me wrong, they do have the 2nd highest dps, and they are fun to play, but they aren’t essential to any party. Druids are much more in demand.
If your party already has a druid, you’re out of luck though. Most only take 1, except on Mattias. Still, you’ll probably have better luck finding parties as druid.
EDIT: Most parties would be ok with exotic magis armor on druid. So you could play both, if you wanted.

This is the correct response to OP. Even the druid mains in my guild don’t always use ascended gear for healing. The gain is minimal (even more than on a DPS class), and on druid it’s really common to swap your gear around. This is because 1.) you often have to adjust your toughness depending on whether you are tanking, and 2.) when your group is more experienced you will take more offensive runes since you don’t need the extra healing. It’s not uncommon at all to have 3 different armor sets on a druid. Just use exotic armor on your druid, and use the ascended gear for your thief.
If you have some sick desire to play condi druid then you would probably want ascended viper’s gear, but that’s a build that fits only a very small niche.
