Thiefts in Dungeons
Are thiefts wanted in dungeons, especially in speed runs?
They aren’t preferred but it doesn’t really matter you can clear any exp dungeon with any team setup really.
It only gets iffy when you talk about high lvl fotm.

not sure what you mean with iffy, but there is no reason thieves would be less preferred in high level fotm, thats actually where utilities such as stealth start to play a bigger role.
Guardians and Warriors are top tier. Every other class is second tier and might get declined/booted in favor of those two. Bad thieves die a lot and are not popular. Good thieves are fine and welcomed.

Yep.
I got bumped from two PUG groups this week within a couple of seconds of joining, the first time that’s happened for a long while. Heavy classes are still in top demand. Just go onto the lfg site and look how many lfm requests have ‘need thief only’.
PUG’s seem to think that having a thief halves the completion time of Arah P2. There’s some demand for you!
For a pug speed run, stack warriors.
For a really min/maxed speed run, however, you’ll want thieves with a ranger and a warrior for your primary dps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWQ-39_C8LI
That’s my 2 cents at least. =P
Thieves are good, both dmg and utility wise.
The main issue? Finding a player able to play it.
Most used: Guard/Mes/War/Nec/Ele.
Yes, i use 5 chars at time. Because REASONS.

Pure warrior and guardian worship and warrior stacking etc. etc. is quite last year.

That’s weird, because I can’t remember the last time I caught any flak for being Necro, and I generally do 4-5 EXP dungeons a day on my Necro.

Just because you dont get any flak for being a necro doesnt mean the class is good. My main is a necro and I believe Nikes first 80 was a necro and we have no problem admitting the class is at the bottom for dungeons.

It might be last year for the elite but it is very much of today for the PUG players. I frequently join PUGs and find that the other four spots are all guardians/warriors, probably more often than finding a group without either. If you get warriors in PUG groups without guardians they often don’t know what to do, they just stack under mobs and get killed by everything.

So true….. i usualy pug arah and the rare times i take my ranger i see that we are failing quite misrably ( i’m not the bearbow type). Mostly i prefer my guardiant just to be on the safeside of things, but definetly it is fun when the party has no guard and are lost
