This cause failure?
If you can’t rescue them in time you will still complete the room but you won’t get the dmg bonus provided by the researchers which makes the final boss a little faster to kill.
Best way to rescue the researchers is to open the 2 rooms that are on fire and then move to the 2 with portals. Any class that is built for dps can do these rooms in time if done in the right order.

Hmmm ok. Cause what happened was a researcher died but all the enemies were killed behind the doors. But the one room with the panel wouldn’t open and the coolant rod was sitting inside on the ground. The door remained shut.
You have to destroy the portals for the door to open.
People often forget this and leave one left alive. So the door doesnt open.
It’s actually bugged right now and you can just run through the door and finish that section. Furthermore, the buff you get against the boss doesn’t do anything right now. It’s all borked. ;-;

Are you sure it’s bugged? I believe it can only fail if you do not need all 4 rooms to get to the boss, which is only the case in lower fractals (<30 or <40 i believe). In those the door to the console is closed and you need to rescue all 4 npcs for it to open. If you need all 4 the door is open and you can just ignore the npcs.
Unless it was fixed in Tuesday’s patch, the door to the console opens without saving any of the researchers and you can just waltz in, complete that area, and never save a single researcher.

I love GW2. Such a well supported product.
We just have to wait for the bug to interact with the Living World. That’s all it took for slaying potions!
best statistical loot in the game. We want everyone on an equal power base.”
Pre-launch, Colin listed things that make MMOs bad. They are all now in GW2.
Maybe if we claim it ruins our immersion, they will fix it promptly.
