Hi sometimes I clear shards too fast at xera that it spawns again at the spot people tanking her. So is there any tips how to clear it not so fast?

I reckon you need to figure the orb phase timing. It’s twice substitution of platform covering area and then orbs phase, isnt it? or maybe via timer?

Edit: we use the three tanking spots (facing island 1, between island 3 and 4, between island 5 and 6), I think it’s a pretty common strat among pug, at NA at least. we already know which shards to clear and where the tank will go next. The problem is we burst shards to fast sometimes, the tank moves, we are fine for a while but the shards start to respawn covering our tanking spot and we need to burst the shards again. I think we often get this problem at the third tanking spot when our dps is low. Normally when we go back to center, it’s safe to start burst shards at first and second stacking spot.

Sorry for the lack of clarity of the tanking strat we use, I hope the explanation is clear enough.

If your dps is too low, then shards are going to be an issue regardless. However even with good dps, if you have crappy breaks for her break bar far more crystals will spawn in rendering a lot of your work useless.
So you might want to look at those two issues first.

If you’re clearing it too early, the easiest way (without learning the rotation) is to just ask the tank where they’re heading next.

Its hard to give tips without knowing exactly how you are fighting xera as there are a few different strategies.

The biggest tip I can give is to clear as few as possible but when you need to clear them, do so ASAP.

When people (myself included) first started fighting xera, they approached the shards similarly to the orbs at Gorseval. In reality this is unnecessary because the orbs at Gor expand and they are random, where as the shards at Xera are planned.

So instead of trying to “clear all of the shards” all the time, focus 100% of your attention on Xera. Then, when it is time to focus the shards, do so with 100% of your attention. (i.e. auto attack, lava font, meteor shower, etc if on ele). I’ve found this makes for a much safer run because:
1. You will do more damage because less total time is spent shard clearing and more time on Xera
2. The adds will be less of a problem because you will likely also increase your cleave by attacking xera more often.
