To the devs: How many buckets?
Currently the majority of buckets are filled with poor thieves
Judging from what I’ve seen and heard, the servers can run on tears for the next few years.

So how many buckets have you already filled with our tears thanks to those raids XD?
We’ve lost count, but there should be enough here to feed the team for about a week.
Colin needed some liquid anyway!

You should share with the PvP team, they’re clearly starving to death.

Unfortunately, that is not enough for them to make another Raid Wing. The only answer is to decrease the Enrage Time to 6 minutes!
Are the tears from people actually playing the raid or from people unsuccessfully trying to play in VB but can’t since the map is bloated with people trying to find a raid group due to Anet not creating a lobby area for the raid?

You’d figure since raids are new it would be easy to put pugs together to test it out, but it’s not. This is not a success considering the content only came out Tuesday… It’s like pulling teeth to get a team together, and once you get a couple boss wipes (because people can’t make it to the green circle in 3 seconds, that are 1200 units away, while they under the effects of combat suppression and don’t have proper movement skills built into their profession… all while being blown up for most of their hp…) they drop like flies.
Players don’t mind harder content as long as it’s fun, profession designs match the content challenge, and characters play and control well for the end user so they can focus on the action. You have players spending more time playing piano with the keyboard, swapping this and that (because you wanted a minimal ability bar) and timers on important things like the quasi roles you are attempting to fit into the game (see Druid CA form/astral force design and gear/toughness score to “tank” mechanics).
The intro is boring as all get out and players spend more time waiting around not doing anything. Also, no build templates/savers means a lot of time swapping stuff around, changing characters, opening the bank for gear… All to fill the “role(s)” of those players that dropped for whatever reason. You should also measure the weight of that lack of success for raids along with those tear buckets.
Quite frankly, gw2 lacks a ton of proper profession designs, combat mechanics, qol systems to run raids (wvw and spvp too). Clearly this game had been designed around “dodge rolling-dps-self sufficiency-stack up and auto attack at the boss” pve encounters, and you are trying to play catch up with many “things” and that is evident. Proper profession development has been lacking for years and you people know that. Sure, I can tell some of these elite specs were designed with HoT and raids in mind, but most of our core professions are still a mess. I could go on and on with things like nonsensical trait placement, conditions overuse and cleansing mechanics, stealth mechanics, burst vs hp, profession inequality with regard to movement skills…, just like you devs have been getting feedback about and ignoring for the most part all these years. So I’d like to suggest that you people really take professions development and system designs more seriously sooner than later.
Here are more detailed thoughts about this stuff…

Good luck, you developers have a long way to go with many things including these raids.

Did not manage to get past Vale Guardian yet but I love the raid difficulty to bits, hope Anet won’t ’’nerf’’ them to please whiners like they did with Hero Challenges.
This is what I’ve been waiting for in this game, well done Anet!
I actually haven’t seen many tears about raid difficulty.
Seems like I see more tears over the focus on zerk/viper gear that is ideal for raids or problems that thieves and, to a lesser extent, necros are facing in terms of serving a really valuable role in dungeons.

Thief complaints are valid, and aren’t really about the raid exactly.
Tears about the necessity of having dps gear are absolutely difficulty years. It’s all just people complaining that they can’t go full nomads, drool on the keyboard, and eventually complete the fights the next day. That wouldn’t be difficult, hence those complaints are about the difficulty.

Wow talk about a “Lack of Professionalism”. I just happened across this from a link from another forum. Is this the mindset of ArenaNet as a whole towards their “Clients/Customers”……
Remember folks you aren’t the only show in town and with the debacle known as HoT going on you might want to try being nicer (or do like normal and ignore the issues).

You’re taking it way too seriously. You’re missing the humor in it which many other people see.

Talk about a “Lack of Sense of Humor.” I just happened across this necro’d thread from a month ago. Is this the mindset of people too dense to see that Anet prided themselves on the relative difficulty of the raids and were making a joke about it causing tears?

No. It’s just many people dislike when jokes are being made at their expense.
Remember, remember, 15th of November
Am I the only one that’s glad that Anet’s found an alternative to feed their employees? Less time out of the road grabbing noms means more work that can be done by staying at the office.

People will always find something to be offended about.

Then they should get good so they aren’t the punchline.

LOL I guess I assumed (Uh oh you know what they say about assuming) they were being serious. I work in the service industry and if one of my employees spoke to someone like this I would be forced to council or dismiss.
I really thought they were serious. I was linked to this from a different forum where someone was saying ANet doesn’t care what the users say or think so I took it at face value. I appologize if posted in error.
That being I don’t even do Raids, not because they are too hard but because I have no interest.
I have done Fractals and have the Dungeon Master Title (big whoopee lol) and have completed them (not purchased paths that is robbing yourself of the fun).
See what happens when you “think” you know what is going on? (referring to myself).. lol
I hope everyone has a Merry/Happy Christmas!!!

Considering how the raids turned out, I’m sure those buckets are filled with dev tears. How ironic.

Considering raids turned out to be the best thing anet has ever added to PvE? Yeah I’m sure they’re just bawling their eyes out.

I honestly can’t fathom how anyone could assume that was a serious response. Especially someone who works in the service industry….

Ahahah. This 100%. Ppl already 5 man vale. Faceroll contest is faceroll.
Playing Smite since mid s2, f broken gw2.

Yes one of the best teams in the game can 5 man the easiest boss in the raid using a trick that was most likely unintended. Look show me you 5 manning it and then maybe I’d agree it’s completely faceroll.

Keep doing what you’re doing and ignore the Social Justice Warriors.
I dont know who will cry harder, tbh… and it is a little sad when you look at it that way.
If HoT has not sold properly, or people is leaving after buying it, some people may lose their job, like in any company when they have economic issues, lack of clear direction (is this game casual or hardcore?, cause playing for 2 hours to do the events of a map is not my definition of casual gameplay… raids are no casual either…) or have problems conquering their own public.
If you compare that with failing a boss in a game… i guess some tears are more salty than others, right?…
So how is the raid going?
Y’all still having a blast?
How’s the progress on legendary armors coming?
Any pictures yet of legendary armors?
Any word on build templates and savers in the works?
Pretty curious to know what percentage of the population has participated in the raid and what the concurrent numbers are…

Haha, good luck with that… Players will probably have to run it over the course of a year to get it at this rate…

Have you even raided ?
If you had you’d see the collection required is a partial one with only the items for raid wing 1 being shown and achievable. There are more items which we cannot obtain (par for the course see Ad Infinitum)

Raids are awesome, but currently i am kinda of bored cause the only challenging content available i do one/two time/week, cant wait new wings, so i can clear one wing per week day lol.
