I’m shocked there’s no freak-out about trade-able fractal rewards, Considering how vague the report was, there’s no telling how this could go.

What’s the point of prestigious loot if you can just buy it? There’s a reason everyone pushed towards account bound legendaries, because any fool being able to buy a legend makes the whole system flawed.

I’m assuming weapons will never be able to be sold, though stranger things have happened, but how prestigious is your earned Mini Mew when some F-lvl 0 guy is running around with the same thing?

Players want to profit from FOTM runs without cheapening the reward system.

At the end of every fractal, you’ll find a lockbox in the final chest called a fractal encryption. These encryptions may give you a new Mini Professor Mew, new ascended aquatic-breather recipes, high-level crafting materials, or many other rewards. … you’ll be able to trade fractal encryptions with your fellow Tyrians. This new system will give you more choices over how you want to obtain the rewards you want for your fractal runs.

First, they’re a little confusing, it said at the end if you need a few more or have extra… well, what does that mean? Does that mean they’re going to be opened or traded or what?

Either way, I just see it as a way to make money if I get the rewards I want and keep getting them.

I like when I can convert my supplies into gold. It’s nice.

That lockbox will work similar to BL chests and you gonna need a key to open it.

The key will be sold by fractal vendors and presumably can be bought with fractal relics and/or new things that you salvage from ascended rings

Yeah, fractal keys. Noticed them on the second read… and it’s already giving me the creeps.

Aside from the key thing, the Encryptions basically are going to be yet another RNG-fest. It’s the equivalent of getting Giant Wintersday Gifts every time you complete a fractal. Sure, it COULD be a Dwayna recipe, but 99% of the time, you know it’s going to be yet another 3c tonic.

I shudder at the thought that some of the really rare rewards might be as rare as Mini Gwynfyrdd.
