Guild Wars 2

when fighting the first boss vine that you encounter before choosing your path, i usually melee him. 2-3 of his baby vines normally surround him but i notice for like 50 percent of the fight, they are inactive, just looking at me but not shooting their AOE spit.

then randomly, sometimes, at different hp percents, in many runs, they will activate for no reason and start pwning me with the spit. then sometimes it stops.

there is no pattern to this, how can i always just make them not shoot me? what is triggering it? (i dont think people are going near it)

There is (allegedly) some area where you can exploit and stop the vines. TBH since they made it even easier because of the WP change, I can pretty much just sit there and wail on it, even with my theif.

Yea, I should correct the thread to say, while Meleeing him and not ranged, since that old safe spot was ranged-only.
