So I was just doing CM normally and suddenly heard loud voices. Of course I quickly went to search the source. And what did I find…

What is this??? o.O i’ve cleared CM many times and never found this.

Maybe is an area not meant to be found where a dev had fun doing something random.

Note, during the correct path to find this there are strange noises which can be heard when you head in the general direction. Not to mention the bonus you get for reaching it (15 mins of Protection and Might). I dont understand why you would add those things in addition if it was purely a designer having a little fun.

Now we know what GW2 is doing during those 20-second loading screens when it’s not even accessing the disk. It’s receiving alien transmissions from our Caudecusian overlords.

Proof that the game is secretly being powered by inner-sanctum like occult magicks. :o

Found that secret and another in cursed shore too. My quick guess it will be a future event or even secret event. And if you gone to the house besides that ufo thing you will realize it exist a door which is closed so it could be that this door exactly leads to this ufo thing.

You sure? i tried it now again but yellow orb isnt Interactable for me O.o

I sincerely hope ANET doesn’t ban people for exploring the unused/beta contents of their game.

We fans do it not out of malicious intent but because we love GW2, and we love to see what happened through its development. This is the same drive as those who excavate every bit of beta content in Zelda 64.

Understandably though, I do think ANET should fix this fast.

I hope they don’t totally forget about the UFO puzzle though, since this area is REALLY cool though! Please include it in a future update!! :O

This area was supposed to be hooked up before launch but we got swamped and the script I wrote didn’t get submitted to localization in time. It WILL get hooked up and operational at some point. (Though everyone is actually MORE swamped with post launch content than before we shipped, it seems) What really sucks is that it can be seen from outside, which really ruins the effect. It’s not supposed to look like UFOs or be reminiscent of anything alien. and Ceiling Cat was going to be a super secret Easter egg that only a very few would ever see. What sucks more is that this is one of those projects I did almost entirely on my free time (as is the fragmented garden statue of Caudicus and the Lion’s Arch Lion sculpture) and it’s getting out there in a completely stupid ugly way. I’m not blaming anyone but us. It’s totally natural and healthy for fans to poke at every corner to find this kind of stuff. Just makes me sad that something that was supposed to have a very specific mood is ruined for a lot of people now. anyway, I appreciate you guys bringing it to our attention.

That’s sad. You should ask if they could put this on higher priority so it makes it into the game?^^ I just went here earlier today, and it looks really creepy (in an awesome way)… I want to know what the real story is behind this place.

Welp, I feel bad now just for looking at the pics. I’m sure it’ll be great once everything is working as it should.

If it is any consolation, it took me a bit to notice the Caedecus floating head sculpture and it was the coolest thing ever when I actually saw it. That was pretty impressive.

On the subject of the Caudecus’s Manor head sculpture the first time I wandered in (on my own) I just sat down and stared at it for a while…nice piece of work.

Y’know I was going to go check this out but after reading this I think I’ll pass and wait for it to be correctly integrated and experienced as Josh intended.

Josh Foreman, I really think this place is awesome. So please don’t be sad about the unintended mood. Instead, you should embody it! Because this place is creepy in a REALLY awesome way! Particularly how the face statues create the illusion of turning and staring at you depending on the camera! Creepy and awesome!

I don’t think this should be rushed. But as a GW fan, I’m honored to have seen the WiP, and I really wanted to say it’s awesome! Please don’t ever forget to include it in a future update! (And perhaps Riot Alice could comment on UFOs as an inside joke?)

I like the more creepier parts of the game, only remember one anyway, so I’m definitely looking forward to this being in the game
