Undocumented changes, March 16, 2015
The biggest change is that Lupi’s bubble attack is no longer summoned on the target – it does not track the target unless outside of a set minimum range (approx the safe zone range in p2 where there is no swipe and you do not get hit by the auto). Before, you would get bubbled if you were not fast enough getting back under him from the rising up AOE. Now it will not trap you at all, it will completely miss or the outer edge will nick you once. There is almost no threat of being bubbled now. You can even trigger it by stepping away from him and the bubble will land exactly at that min distance without trapping you.
I know not if this is intended or perhaps a result of the atk/cleave changes of some atks, either way it certainly feels very unsatisfying as it trivializes threat in the fight but also makes pushing lupi around a non-issue.
Unrelated to this I also noticed the guard sword 3rd auto cone is a bit larger so it will reliably hit when you are forced to make tighter circles max melee kiting. It still suffers at the tip of the cone where not all hits may land.
Yeah, I noticed that yesterday too, when I accidentally Overcharged Shot myself into the dome (I normally use it to escape the dome when people push Lupi and cause him to bubble me). If they’re working on Lupi, I hope they fixed the WoRsploit. Does anyone know if they did? I don’t allow it in my groups (I post for off wall melee).
WoR sploit works fine.
Jade Maw tentacles also received the conical radius increase for their attack. Now you either have to walk trough it or dodge to avoid the whip attacks, side stepping is not enough anymore.
Ps. They should just give similar attack indicators to pretty much every mob like Wildstar did.
WoR sploit works fine.
it’s better to have WoR exploit than the fix, which is certainly going to be unblockable, unreflectable attacks.
Did they fix Mossman? Tbh I don’t even know how to bug him and if you can make a mistake there. But I pugged 49 yesterday, the pugs wanted to bug him, we were underwater, Mossman fgs rushed us and all died xD
Cloud of Sparrows [CoS]

yeah… fix with anet fashion means disabling reflects, like they did with marlona brando. and I hate to even think we’ll see more skills useless.
Were Old Tom’s poisonous projectiles ever reflectable?
Nope it wasn’t. But at some point you could absorb them with untraited warden, but it doesn’t work anymore.
Is it just me or are things hitting a lot harder now?
Can anyone tell me if last night’s patch fixed Thaumanova’s turrets? The bug fix only specifically called out that Skill Point that was broken, but I want to verify the Thaumanova issue as well.

When was the patch? I did Thaumanova just after reset last night and it was NOT fixed.
It was 10 hours ago around midnight EST. Very strange time for a patch, but that is when they fixed the projectiles elsewhere in the game. I want to make sure they also caught the issue in Thaumanova or else I need to press them on it.
Turrets are still broken post patch; I rolled the shard early this morning.
Okay, thanks. I’ll report it up the line.

Wow. You’re doing great as specialist. Do you, by any chance WvW also?

I’m glad you approve! I’m rank 500-something in WvW and I play pretty regularly considering how much time in a day I have to actually play.

I sure wouldn’t mind if you applied for WvW specialist!
In any case, back on topic: anyone figured out what it is that’s made Belka a lot easier after the patch? Her damage seems the same and her attack rate seems the same, but she is doing less over all damage: something must have changed.
I saw a thread from people complaining that burning damage got nerfed, maybe that affected mobs too

Maybe after the dungeon one is up! We’ll have to see if they’ll let me.

That burning damage nerf has already been addressed in a recent patch here.
