Vials of Condensed Mists Essence no longer drop after scale 10.
Globs of Coagulated Mists Essence no longer drop after scale 20.

May I have some clarification in whether vial of condensed mists drops in Fractal 10?
From the patch note it seems that it is either >9 or >10.

It’s after 10, just like non-infused rings ceasing to drop after 20.

So if i havent gotten any Vial yet and I´m on lvl 11 I have to go back and redo lower lvls to have a chance? o O

Yes, and you need 5 to make infused rings, so we can affirm that ANet want you grind low fotm lvls instead of advancing in top tiers…

Can anyone comfirm the Vials are still dropping at level 10? As in, has anyone seen one drop?

I also haven’t seen a single drop and I am on level 11, and have done approximately 20 total fractal runs (yes, my luck with MMO drops is absurdly bad).

I would to continue deluding myself into thinking I may actually see one when I do my level 10 daily.

I got 2 before level 4.
It seems that Anet want you to help the low FoTM levels get to the higher levels, therefore making you grind low levels for drops only available to these levels.

this is Anet’s roundabout way of making you do lower levels, in an attempt to make it easier for those people stuck on those levels to reach higher levels.

but im willing to bet it wont work out because people will just do it with the groups they already have setup.

Anyone know if this drops more at level 1 vs level 9?

Maybe we could setup groups to farm them off the dredge fractal.

I would prefer one (or more) of several things occurred:

Vials be purchasable for relics
Vials be purchasable for the perfect relics
Rings become salvageable, from which vials can be a salvage component

It would be cool if globs/shards could follow the above scheme, too, but since they can ultimately be forged from vials, it’s not necessary.

That’s wrong. I just did lvl 26 fractal and get 2 vials out of it. Also get one at lvl 30.

I’m not a fan of this idea… it would be the equivalent of being able to buy ectos from vendors (not the trading post). Ascended items aren’t supposed to be easy to make, and this would make them ridiculously easy to obtain.

I would, however, be fine with the ability to salvage ascended items for essence instead of ectos in addition to dropping in fractals and think this is a good idea moving forward. Maybe they could make a chance for vials to drop from non-infused items, globs from infused, and unless they plan on introducing a third tier shards should be either drops from fractals or craftable only.

How easy it is depends on how expensive the vials would be. They could easily be 10+ perfect relics or 1000+ normal relics and still accomplish RNG removal.
