This legitimately used to be my favorite fractal, but has anyone noticed that phase 2 of this has become much more challenging than it used to be, to a ridiculous extent?

I have been in so many level 30 groups that could fly through all the levels and then this fractal will pop up and it becomes a death sentence for the group. These are pro groups, everyone knows how to do the fractal.

The shaman are spawning so fast, and with so much health. This fractal seems almost impossible now at higher levels. The shaman are spawning so close together, it might as well be two at a time.

Easiest way is to have your lowest dps person throw flame rocks. Then 1 person keeps throwing rocks(the ones you buy with karma) to knockdown vets while the rest dps. I used this strat all the way to 80 and we always get the bonus chest.
Fire ele powder/ogre pet whisle/ grawl potions are helpful too, though not essential for fotm 30

I believe the op is complain about the dps and cc requirement. Ever since there were veterens, it made the phase alot harder than it should be.

This is probably my favorite fractal too. I never really have problems with the veterans because I play a GC thief, so damage isn’t really an issue.

I find that in most groups no one ends up running the lava rocks because people try to DPS the vets, to no avail, and then the vets still kill the captives before his bubble is whittled away

2nd worst fractal. worst being fish, waste of time.
