I know this has been a topic before. But this game needs a serious dungeon finder. Sometimes I wait for over an hour to find a group for dungeons like SE and CoE. If your looking for groups for story then goodluck. Games been out for just a month and its hard to find people to do dungeons already. For now you have to spam in the MAP chat your dungeon is located or in LA. Which is wasting silver by having to zone back and forth. I know when GW1 first came you could easily do LFG for Fow or UW ect.. ect… but in this game there are way to many servers to do that. Please anet make it easier to get where we wanna go without wasting money at time.

I agree with you. Without Dungeon Finder, we can see a Movie before get a Group….

Indeed, maibe not a LFG tool automatic ala WoW but something cross-server that let you find people for a specific dungeon, and let yourself be seens by other people that you want to do that dungeon.

Or a world wide channel, for not have to at the entrance when you try to find a groupe

A world wide channel would open up gold seller spam, a simple thing like the LFG we have with tabs for dungeon where you can set yourself up for that specific dungeon or look at people who signed up would suffice.

Another idea can be, when you press Y key and click in LFG, there you can join in a ‘channel’ or something to find people for that dungeon you want.

Dungeon finder is a bad idea.

Right now, the speed with which you build group is based on your reputation. Good players are never short on invites even in the dead of the night. Dungeon finder will just enable players who should probably not be doing dungeons for whatever reason to suffer miserably through contents they are not ready for.

No need, find a guild, there are no large scale raids in GW2 you won’t be forced to raid or lose your real life because of this game
Just find some guys you have fun playing with in a guild, and there goes your need for a dungeon finder.

We don’t need automated,cross realm dungeon finder.What we need is improvements to the current one which exists in GW2.
So no from me to LFG tool that you suggest

the idea that we dont need one because of someones reputation is just flat out silly. Alot of people can’t play the game for 10 hours a day due to jobs or family should be punished because there are others who play the game more hardcore. That why there are Titles, to show off your reputatuion. I suggest something more like aion dungeon finder. It wasnt cross server. I am really tired of while WoW putting there input about GW2 sometimes. I know theres not Raids nor do I want raids. I am asking for a simple dungeon finder more like aion in which is a NcSoft game not Blizzard.

As someone who can play pretty much only when server population is at it’s lowest, yes please.

It doesn’t have to be automated. At least make a server wide list of people who are looking for dungeons runs, and what dungeon we want to run. Cross server would be even better. Given the fact that we can have guilds that span both NA and EU and across all servers, it should be possible. Granted, I know that NA and EU can’t run dungeons together (I know, and it’s part of why I’m in NA playing on EU servers), but just making a point. I fail to see how this would negatively impact the game.

Forcing your players to stand around and spam in /map chat and get message limited is not exactly a smart system.

I’m pretty sure I spent well over an hour today just getting groups together to run CoE. That’s an hour spent that I could have used to actually do something interesting like explore another map, run a dungeon, bake a cake, or do some DEs.

Personally I feel all that’s needed is an addition to the existing Looking for Group list. If you had a drop down box next to your name which you could set to the name of the dungeon, that would be enough to get people using it, I’d imagine. Right now, no-one does.

They don’t even need a LFG system, like WoW’s, to automatically put us into groups. Having the LFG icon put you on a global list that allows you to say what dungeon, what dungeon type, and possibly what dungeon path you wanted to do would be all that’s needed.

The rest of us players that don’t have a good reputation can use a dungeon finder tool.

Its a win win for both of us. I don’t want to group with you, and as long as you don’t use the tool that won’t ever happen.

I won’t get matched up with you, because I won’t use your form of grouping.

The LFG “tool” we should have should have been an EASY thing to put into the game. We should have the “LFG” tool GW1 used. You open it up, you click what your LFG for, and you add a specific comment to that. The only thing that would have to be added is make it cross server. It should not put the groups together for you, but instead allow you to see whos LFG for the same thing as you regardless of what server/zone you are in.

To those who keep saying “NO LFG TOOL ITS BADZ!” not everyone has some gift/time to find groups by shouting in /map, and whats worse is how easily you get your map chat suppressed making the current way to find groups even more of a pain.
