Karma is as abundant as air, and as useless as the Kardashians.
Just throwing my two cents out there, because I see an insane amount of negativity and whining about the waypoint change.
Arenanet, you have a great service to the game for this change and I encourage you to weed out all possible exploits, glitches, workarounds for boss fights and even trash. This is your game, do what you will. The people complaining about this change are the people that need a crutch to complete a dungeon.
I am on your side with this change. And I salute you.
To everyone else: Please just accept this change. It is not going away and there are most likely going to be other “earth shattering” dungeon changes in the future. Count on it. Expect it. Expect not to steamroll through a dungeon in 20 minutes anymore. Oh and being a glass cannon is still fine. I am one on my thief, roughly, and I have absolutely 0 issues.
Pro tips:
1. Do not rely on your teammates to keep you alive, rely on yourself.
2. Constantly keep your eyes glancing at the ground for those little red circles.
3. After running these dungeons for 5 months, you should know approximately when the boss is going to execute abilities x,y,z. Anticipate it. Get behind the boss. Get away from the boss. Glance at the ground. Dodge/roll. Line of sight Koehler(sp).
4. You should have some revive orbs from leveling. Use them. But they definately, DEFINATELY are not required to complete a run.
5. If youre below 10% hp, your heal has more than a few seconds left on cooldown, switch to a range weapon. Range increases the chance you’ll be verticle for longer…most of the time. Once you heal, switch to melee and go whackamole.
