So I heard if I get an exotic capacitador, you can upgrade it to ascended with an ascention stone (1850 relics total- absurd amount and completly against any manifesto btw)). After that, I heard you can upgrade it AGAIN.

What if I create of one those expensive ascended backpiece? Like http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Koss_on_Koss

As far as I am aware, the prototype back pieces that are bought with relics do not have an offensive/defensive infusion slot. Therefore you are correct, these must be upgraded once firstly to gain the infusion slot (1850 relics) and then once again to gain the koss (infused) status which gives another +5 agony resist to the base stats, under the power toughness vit.

The crafted backpieces however already come with the offensive/defensive infusion slot. So these can only be upgraded once to koss (infused) status to gain the same +5 agony in base stats.

The Exotic Backpiece can actally be upgraded tree times. The first gives it the Infusion Slot. The second Upgrade gives 5 Agony resistance. The third upgrade is just pure vissual and add the glowing to the Backpiece. The second and third upgrade both require 250 Ectos.
