What is a high DPS and high mobility class?
Warrior, ele, thief, engineer
Very disappointed with my Ranger… Can you guys please recommend something else?
Well, during fights you don’t really need much mobility and outside of fights ranger is one of the most mobile classes in the game, you have sword nr. 2 as movement skill if you use about face, you have greatsword 3 and you have staff nr. 3.
Warrior, ele, thief, engineer
Not sure you can put engineer in high mobility and dps at the same time.
Engie has to sacrifice their dps for mobility, unlike the other 3.
revenant is okay dps and very good mobility
Thief is the correct answer
Everything else has awful mobility by comparison, and thief is 2nd best dps.

Depends on what you call mobility.
Engineer has a lot of leaps out of combat, a lot less in combat, but same goes for elementalist

Well i don’t consider out of combat mobility in this case.
In combat mobility engie has the least of what you listed unless they invest heavily in it.

ele’s mobility is pretty consistently overstated
a holdover from when ride the lightning had a 15 second cooldown? (and when off hand dagger was considered good. currently taking dagger also sacrifices dps)

Burning speed is plenty of low cooldown mobility and it has a built in evade to boot.
Also, what people don’t take into account is ele’s SUPERIOR MELEE RANGE. Lightning Whip allows you to melee targets that are not in traditional melee range, making the ele one of the safest melee DPS classes. Air Overload also has generous aoe range while moving.
Meanwhile other classes actually need to move into the danger zone to melee.
Thief is very good with mobility and has high dps.

300 range on melee is fantastic and is responsible for allowing the class with the lowest base defenses to use melee weaponry. However, it doesn’t have much to do with the topic as far as I’m aware.
Anyway, burning speed is great, yes. It’s pretty analogous to Warrior’s spin dash. Warrior has way more dashes than ele, but ele has a teleport and superspeed, so they have pretty similar mobility. But they’re both awful compared to thief.
I would say go play Thief. You’ll find no better mobility and high damage than Thief which is currently sitting at around #2 in dps and I’m pretty sure it is number 1 or 2 in terms of mobility for PvE.
It depends on what you mean by ‘mobility’. If you just want to DPS a boss then ele/warrior/thief/Guardian/engie can all fit the bill. In most cases you don’t have to stand still while performing a skill.
Rangers using longbow just don’t seem to fit the bill for raids, nowhere near enough DPS. If you can heal then Druid might be an answer.
I tried longbow ranger too and ended up on hammer/greatsword dragonhunter with a couple of traps. To be honest most ranged weapons suck in raids.

Err, no. It can be even more mobile as many engie skills used are ranged. It can also be extremely useful dealing with the condi trash mob at vale guardian. It does have some of most complex skill rotations available though.

So which kit are you dropping to take (SS/RB) and why does this not equal a DPS loss ?
They have to invest more in to be as mobile as the others who have it on weapon skills and typically have an optional utility slot, which engie doesn’t with taking a significant hit to DPS.
Thief is the clear winner. Highest mobility and also high DPS.
Warrior and Druid share the second spot in terms of mobility. Relatively low DPS though.
Ele is the highest DPS class in the game, but has little mobility on these DPS builds other than swiftness.
Depends on set and game mode.
Generally speaking, Revenant with shiro and a target wins without question. He can travel half pvp map with 3 skills. Great damage in pvp, meh damage in pve.
Thief and Ele both have great mobility and damage too.
Warrior has a lot of mobility too, though in PvE you won’t really move a lot.
Every class, even elementalist, will feel slow after playing a Daredevil. It’s almost unreal how much playing one has altered my perspectives to the point where I just feel like a turtle whenever I log on to my elementalist, a class I mained for years.
Unhindered combatant alone is insane, not only with the distance the animation travels, but the fact that it gives you perma swiftness without needing anything else. If you make a build that mixes Daredevil with the new revamped Acrobat line and roll mostly Physical skills, you have potential for endless endurance.

Yea, this speed is why they nerfed thieves to the underworld and I still love it ;_; It was horrible switching to Guardian to run high fractals. Was horribler switching to Necro after that.
