What kind of groups tend to be kick happy?
Well Rising, I’ve been kicked from dungeons three out of five times since I was playing again. I know I’m not the kindest player of all and might not play perfectly, but funny enough those times I have been kicked there was not a word spoken in the party chat. I may have been kicked for playing bad, though. Should get my kitten together and finally learn arah.
As a might stacking ele using scepter/focus in 2 something years i got kicked twice. One lfg was ugly=kick, other was when i joined a grawl lvl 50 and they asked for a guard.
So in my experience and stuff i hear and see kick happy group is:
a) group of guildies
b) extreme elitist that ask to ping gear and kick you if you have 1 wrong sigil/rune/weapon
c) people that think AP=experience
d) if you are a necro or ranger max range

It’s tough to say, Dub. Sometimes it’s something as small as you wanted to do a specific boss differently than everyone else, or maybe you just got a bunch of kittens in your party who wanted to sell your spot.
But learning Arah could certainly be a place to start.
Once I had to do three grenth spots because they couldn’t manage to run there from lupicus. Guess I should have carried them with stealth?
One of my friends did get kicked from an Arah run for (successfully) soloing GL because he didn’t get OOC and let them WP back. They apparently thought he was stalling and wasting their time, even though he killed the bloody boss for them when they couldn’t do it themselves. Some people..

Well, yeah, exactly. Should’ve. I mean, I wouldn’t have done it (“suit yourselves, scrubs”), but I know you’re such a good boy and stuff.
They get all prissy when you don’t help them through the skip or don’t wait and go ahead to solo. It really does freak them out; I suppose it’s frustration because of their own inadequacy.
Wops, forgot to quote. The older I get, the less my blabbering makes sense.
And I think you’re just envious because of the power of my sigil of celerity.

I’ve been kicked for that quite often. Felt so used.
The one place I’d be tempted to kick myself is if they absolutely insisted on trying to solo and then blew it after any reasonable amount of time had passed.
We all like to put on a show, but don’t botch it.
I’m a fan of the “never give up” mentality so even then I’d no confirm the kick That said, if it was a cleric/nomad warrior on lupi… yeah… I’d kick him quite quickly to save us all an hour of waiting while he afks and auto wins

Well if you see an LFG for Arah with words like “speedrun, speedclear, fast” and you see an ele, warrior and rogue already in and you play condi necro or bearbow hunter… this group might not be for you

Hey, hey, don’t hate me please, ok?
One time I was pugging arah and everyone else dies to p2 aoe. I’m soloing, and in party chat one of them writes, “keep tanking him! Using a revive orb.” Needless to say, 2-3 minutes later lupi is at 5% hp, he finished reviving the whole kitten party, they all charge in, spawn a bubble right on top of me and everyone dies.
I just left.

Yeah, I posted that, and immediately second-guessed.
I guess it’s like this, if someone flukes and pulls when folks aren’t ready or somethingand there’s an immediate blowup, I’m going to be annoyed at the person who insists on boring everyone and soloing (if they lose).
If it’s one of the fractal fights where it comes up a lot (say molten duo or the thaumanova anamoly) I’ll keep fighting myself and cheer others on for fighting, even if they blow it.
There’s a thin line between squeezing out the attempt and wasting everyones time.
Aye, there’s certainly a difference between going full bore on Lupi and slowplaying a solo attempt. If they’re slowplaying it I’d be annoyed I guess.

LOL, too good, did they at least blame you for wiping the party because you couldn`t tank the remaining 5%? xD
The best sign for a “kick happy group” is usually if you find them to be passive-agressive when you join. Like they are already negative about you, or someone else right of the bat.
Other than that the best way to prevent from being kicked, to my experience, is to just stay neutral in the chat. There’s always people who can’t take legit advice and just can’t bare the fact that they’re wrong, so they’ll simply kick you for it
you always might end up being kicked for :
- Just before last boss in dungeon / fractal, so they can invite friend from guild instead.
- to sell dungeon to random players on lfg.
- as a joke, right before last boss dies, or is already dead. so you cant pick up your chest with rewards in fractals.
- When you posted on lfg that you need help with last part of the dungeon. They can always join and kick you.
- When you want to sell dungeon. np,. they can always join and kick you instead.
I cant wait to see some replies full of hate towards me. Afterall those reasons doesnt seems to be really important, they only give free gold and in game progress.
