Just ran a horrible CoE run that we didn’t get to finish. The guy who opened the instance was horrible, trying to skip despite telling him no and just wouldn’t play with the team. Got to the last alpha fight (path 2) and people were dying a lot. This guy was doing the fight with no armor on. Don’t know if it was broken or what but he refused to wear armor. Even after telling him to he still wouldn’t do it, nor would he rez or dps crystals. Just an all around horrible player who kitten off the entire group.

Now, at the last alpha fight we managed to get him down to about 1/4th hp and it was looking like we were going to finish. No one was bothering to rez this guy because he was being an idiot and guess what happened? He left the instance and since he started it, kicked the entire group in the process. I don’t think he spoke or understood English either and was using that as an excuse not to listen. That or he was the best troll ever, I don’t know.

Anyways, my question is, what should I do to report fools like this? There is no real “report” form to fill out and I couldn’t report him for anything besides an offensive tag (his account name was the f word). Yet I know that if I would have let one curse word slip out of frustration, he could report me and get me banned for three days. Despite it being him who was ruining everyone else’s experience.

We need more posts like this until the devs finally decide to fix the grouping system.

Report him for scamming, since that kind of is what he did.

I had something similar happen a few days ago. We were doing our daily Fractals run at level 10 and a thief in the party was using a Sigil of Luck. Now, since we weren’t having a problem with the content, I didn’t care. If we’re doing it easily enough, what should I care than a teammate wants some better loot?

However, that’s not what the group leader thought. He pinged it in chat and said to “remove that kitten”. I spoke up and said that if I wanted to use my warhorn, I would start stacking the same thing (my only warhorn I keep on me has it). It was just a sigil and did not mean he was running magic find gear.

Later on, the party leader repeatedly pinged the sigil stacks before leaving the party. I would have loved to report him, but I didn’t have anything to report him on.

They really need to rework the reporting system to allow for explanation of what happens. I’ve had people act like this before and when I got frustrated over it and called them a name they didn’t like, they reported me and I got a 3 day ban while they get nothing. Even contacting anet over the issue is useless because all they do is ignore your support ticket.

No, not the reporting system but the grouping system needs to be fixed.

That as well but there needs to be something that allows you to better describe why you’re reporting said person. I agree that the groups system needs to change, as well as the whole getting kicked out of an instance when the person who opened the dungeon leaves.

Well, the getting kicked part is the main problem with the grouping system. Not talking about the LFG system here, which they yet have to implement, before fixing it
