What sigils should I use for my professions?

I’m thinking Force and Accuracy for my warrior, guardian, thief, mesmer, and ranger.

Force and Accuracy and/or Battle for necromancer, elementalist, and engineer.

For the stacking sigils, which is better for the professions, bloodlust or perception? I hear you can double stack these, is that true?

I can’t decide cause these are so expensive. Some input will be nice or maybe why you think other sigils may be better for certain professions.

+10% damage sigils (Night or Slaying, or Force if you don’t want to get a different weapon for every enemy type).

I’d say Accuracy is a solid second choice for any profession (if you don’t hit 100% crit chance without it), or take an Energy sigil if you need those extra dodges.

For professions that utilize reflects Perception is probably better than Bloodlust, otherwise Bloodlust should give you the biggest DPS boost. You can double stack these by taking two 1 handed weapons and slot a stacking sigil in each of them so you will get 2 stacks per kill.

Wow, what a question! It’s quite simple in appearance but hard to fully answer.

You have to have several weapon sets.

What we usually have is weapons for the night dungeons (sigil of the night), weapons for the critter-specific dungeons that are not night (like sigil of undead slaying for Arah or sigil of outlaw slaying for CM & Cliffside), weapons for open world (force, accuracy). Finally we have weapons specifically for stacking. Now which stack to use depends on your build.

For profession-specific answer, please refer to your main guide.

Necro uses perception because you have a power signet.

  • Double daggers of Bloodlust to stack on trash
  • Scepter of Force
  • Focus of Energy
  • Focus of Night
  • Dagger of Accuracy
  • Staff of Slaying (to camp comfortably in range… hi hi…)

Force + Night is a well rounded set to switch to after stacking, working in every dungeon except Arah, CM and HotW.
If you’re keen on these night time dungeons then replacing Force with a Slayer Sigil is a good move, albeit a waste of time in CoE due to the variety of enemies.

I personally have double bloodlust on all characters, and double perception on classes that struggle to maintain their own fury (so anything other than Warrior really) for solo play or Pugging.
Once I’ve stacked, I switch to Force + Night if it’s a nighttime dungeon, or Force + Undead if it’s Arah, clearly I lose damage if I enter CM or HotW but I rarely run those anyway.
I’ve seen people use Accuracy but I just don’t see it trumping such hefty damage modifiers.

My dagger of Accuracy is to proc crit chance for Fresh Air more reliably. Since I’m super bad with Lupi, I waste a lot of dodge, swapping out of Air for energy and relying on Fresh Air to swapping back. So yeah… it’s that kind of use.

Night (and slaying) trumps all, if it applies.
Force and Accuracy are both fairly strong, where force usually is slightly better. But where force gives a fairly rare buff that you want to stack every bit you can get your hand on, accuracy offers a bonus that you only need a limited amount of that can be aquired from various sources. If you dont have to choose between them, force and accuracy is a good choice.
Battle is a strong sigil, though i am not a fan of it. Might is easily over saturated, especially with classes like ele and engineer.
As for bloodlust vs perception, try to get as close to 100% critchance as possible by any means. Classes that have a lot of points in their precision traitlines with big +% critchance traits like guardian and assassin dont need lots of extra precision and can take bloodlust. Other classes usually do better with perception.
