As far as the encryptions go what is the best option with them?

So far I’ve been opening the ones I get keys for then selling the rest. But is it better to buy the 30 keys you can get a day and open them all? Or even better to just sell the encryptions and ignore the keys completely. I haven’t paid enough attention to the loot from them and all the drop rate discussion I’ve gotten from looking seems to be before they “improved” them. Also is it worth trading the matrices you get for keys or selling those?

Basically which is right?
1. Buy all discounted keys and enough encryptions to open with them.
2. Buy enough keys to open the ones you get but don’t buy more encryptions.
3. Open the ones you have keys for and sell the rest.
4. Just sell all encryptions and throw the keys away.

From personal experience I would have to vote 2.

Use the free keys you get from dailies and then go out of your way to buy discounted keys to open the boxes you have left.

I always recommend (2). Because of the sales tax on the TP and the average cost of the encryptions, you want to avoid selling the encryptions at all costs and open any that you have. If your only expense is the “deeply discounted” key then statistically you will always maximize profit from every encryption you crack.

P.S. Make sure you’ve gotten all relevant Fractal masteries before opening them or you will lose out on profit.

1. But not all discounted keys. Just the first 30. Ive been buying the keys daily and doing only page dailies. Everytime i get to about 100 keys i buy encryption boxes and end up with a reasonable profit. Although encryption boxes were over 20 silver today. So they are becoming a little less profitable.

Page dailies and raids are the only things i do ingame currently. I literally log in to do page dailies, craft/gather home instance and buy 30 keys then log off. Open encryptions every few days for some easy income. And raids once or twice a week.

Ideally you farm enough encryptions to buy 30 deeply discounted keys per day and use all of the keys you received from your dailies to open all of your encryptions. That will maximize your profit. That is also dreadfully boring, so I’d go for option 2. Use your daily keys to open all of the encryptions you farmed from dailies and by only deeply discounted keys to open the rest. If for some reason you have more encryptions than you can open with deeply discounted keys, save them and open them over the next few days by buying deeply discounted keys only. That’s how you will maximize your profits.

If you only do dailies and buy discounted keys you will always have more keys than boxes. It would be a waste not to buy the keys each day since you still get a profit even from buying the discount key + box.
