Btw.- I play T4 fractals with my guard, and while it really hurts having to cripple my DPS through trait adjustments just to avoid retaliation, it is still playable. Sure, not optimal, but totally doable. Just follow the old yet simple “respect the lfg” rule and don’t force yourself into parties that strictly don’t want guards in them.
If you’re looking for optimal it will depend on the level. Most party comps will prbly include a Chrono for Quickness/Alacrity, a PS Warr for the might and a druid for spotter/spirits/GotL. Rest is lots of condi damage, be it necros (if the map favors epi condi bouncing) or anything else.

So I’m gonna faceroll Reaper then, good thing is I have the ascended stuff needed but the bad part is the money for these infusions…
Remember that infusions aren’t as expensive as they used to be, now that you can stick to 9s and don’t need 10/11 anymore.

Can’t go wrong with a necro, although I’ve noticed the skill level of full necro squads tend to vary more than an average squad. I feel like whenever we do mai trin, my squad has no idea how to condi cleanse and sit near mai to get her shield down or stand near horrik to get off condi bounces. Don’t get me started on break bars, I feel like I’m the only one that uses flesh golem active, warhorn 4, or shroud 3/5 sometimes.
T4s are honestly easy as long as everyone knows what they’re doing. Unfortunately if you pugging, those odds are really low. Most reapers I’ve noticed are either those who are hopeful they’ll get carried or those who skillful, but don’t want to deal with squad randomness.
I agree, but reapers have nothing to do with it. Every class and many players have the same issue. Reaper you just saw more often in fractals.
