What would you do?
If they are detrimental to your progress then kick them. No reason to have people who cannot co-operate in your party.
Just ignore them and kick them from your party.
There is no point in giving them advice, since everything you say is wrong in their eyes anyways
You just met average PHIW players. Kick/block/report.
Block and move on. Obviously, there is no point arguing. But by keeping track of your block-list, you can avoid them in the future.
Today I had a Necro using Fear on almost everything in a FotM run, then started insulting me after i kindly told them to not use Fear in Dungeons. I was even told I was Zerker trash, I am not even running Zerker.
In my next run right after that, I get a Ranger knocking the Dredge boss back so that the oil would not fall on it. Said Ranger told me I make FotM runs boring because of my attitude.
Then I see Rangers and Necros around the game go on complaining about how people do not like them in dungeons.
I mean let’s be honest here, what would you do? Am I starting to become Elitist?
What would I do? I would kick and replace the bads.
Demanding people know what they are doing in content that’s 2 years old is not elitist. it is common sense.
It’s not about knowing the content for me, it’s about being bad ON TOP of being a detriment to the party ON TOP of ignoring party’s strategy ON TOP of being a huge kitten.
Just kick.
And block.
And burn their corpses.
If you are going to PuG, you should know that there will be players like that. This is basically an expected and quite common scenario. If your LFG read “zerkers only or get kicked” then you are entitled to kick them because they have been warned before hand. If your LFG read “LFM fotm 50” then it is really your fault. I usually just yolo when I pug and have never really kicked any1 ever unless it was the first fractal and we haven’t even ran the wisps yet.

Good plan, reduce them to tears until they leave, then replace them with other filhty dungeon elitists on the 3rd fractal.

lol actually my 4hour mai trin or grawl shaman fotms always end up like that where all the bads leave and I would ask my FL to fill the missing spots.

Ehh, entitled PHIWers are the worst kind of pugs. Kick and move on. Has nothing to do with the class though. The worst ones I met were staff guard.
Yeah, in regular dungeons I can be pretty forgiving for that kind of thing and willing to give advice/laugh it off… but fractals? Naw, kitten that. They take long enough as is. I start a vote kick for anyone who’s uncooperative on purpose.
Am I starting to become Elitist?
You were in IX, it’s in your blood…

Funnily enough, that’s actually not me who posted this thread.
Kick and lfg “no ranger|no necro”, yes here and there there will be a spotter ranger who can actually control their pet and know what they are doing but overall just a waste of time and at any given moment any other class has better synergy with the team IMO.
What would i do? Having a ranger and necro as my alts, and having big pug experience in dungeons and fractals, i would never join a party that has: a) necro b) ranger. They tend to extend run time to the point where you whish to stick the nearest objects into your eyeballs while manicly laughing. Not to mention jumping on a persons throath if you dare to tell that something is wrong with their usage of skills. Just don’t do it, avoid them like plague especially in fractals.
Neither are bad in the hands of a good player. I actually like some of the new necro things. Not going to be my first choice but if a friend wants to play it I’m not going to stress it at all. Just like my friends don’t bat an eye when I jump on mine for funsies.
Kick and lfg “no ranger|no necro”
Implying necros and rangers are the only classes that attract bad PHIW players?
I see 5 signet mace/shield warriors more often than bearbow rangers, and those warriors are usually worse at the game as well

100% right, Also add “exp” or “know your kitten” to your lfg.
If on your first lava font, no one blasts your field leave and reform…
There are many more signs to bad PUGs anyone with just a bit of PUG experience can recognize it a mile away.
all professions have their strengths in FoTM. Rangers need good pet control and knowledge of how defiant stacks work. Necros need good snare control and knowledge of how defiant stacks work. There is nothing wrong with using fear to deal damage and move something to where you want it, as long as you chill it first.
the only rule for me is, you have a chance to prove yourself as a pug. if you do something that messes up the strategy of the run, you get told how to do it, or asked not to do that one thing. if you repeat the activity, you get kicked.
for me at least its not about player skill, its about their ability to listen. even the most noobish of players have potential to learn and become elite themselves if they can take direction.
