The Family Deuce. Asuran Adventure Specialists.
Messed up the timer anyway, have to try to fix it.
It says: “are they all [raid wings] gonna be available in 2015? […]”
“No.[…] The first wing you will get some time after HoT ships. We haven’t announced it yet, but definitely long before the holidays. And the second two wings will be available early next year.”
Ohhhhhh. My bad then :-P Thanks for the clarification on that though.
We’re definitely serious about raids. It’s something that players have wanted (including myself) for a long time, and we’re hoping to deliver a truly special experience.
I understand that you intend this at the moment, but you were also serious about dungeons at one point. You know, that content that got abandoned (as we were told) because it wasn’t such a success. And because the manpower had to be used on the Next Best Thing. And there’s likely more people playing dungeons now, than the whole population you are aiming for for Raids. And there will be new things to do later as well, which will eat up that manpower that’s now doing raids. Exactly like it happened with Dungeons.
Though to be truthful, while i was sad seeing dungeons abandoned, i doubt i will cry for raids.

what exactly is “QA Embed”?
what exactly is “QA Embed”?
Generally refers to an internal quality insurance tester often times kept from assignment to assignment and not let go at the end of projects.
It just makes me a bit sad to see new developers popping up enthusiastically around here and seeing them shot down by what they might perceive as their target audience. I’m not saying to be hyped, or getting your hopes up. Just remember though that these are people though that (I think) might give you the best shot at the content you want.
They do it to themselves. This policy of silence doesn’t work. They want us to be as hyped as they are, maybe talk to us a bit, not just a blog post here and there, but actually give us responses on issues in the game. I think most of us are smart enough to understand that some things just won’t be addressed instantly, some things are tricky and may take months to properly fix. That’s fine. And maybe they change their plans and tweak things in ways that are different from what they originally said, again, fine. But, communication is key.
Let us know! kitten, I mean really, how hard is it to write a patch note that something is changing? How hard is it to jump on the forum and type up a quick message? For kittens sake they’re creating the resentment themselves. Respect is a two way thing, I’m not going to give a kitten about someone’s feeling that doesn’t give a kitten about me, that’s just dumb. I wish each individual developer the best, but honestly ANet as a whole, kitten you.

Well looks like they reacted in negative time. The last group that wanted to force me to jump up there was not able to. A few jumps after we killed him showed that it has either become impossible or much more difficult to get up there.

Does having a forum specialist mean nothing for you? Ask Dusk if the information was bottlenecked between his and the devs’ communication, or between the devs, or between him and other forum posters. If things are not communicated directly from the dev to the players, it’s fair to assume that things are neither official nor set in stone nor ever be written in a patch note.
I think you are drunk and raging against a wrong person. Cool off.
You don’t care about what the dev says anymore? Fine. Can you step out and let others welcome him? because I’m still interested in what else to be learnt from the devs.

Christ they know about the exploits. I’ve already forwarded all of them to the appropriate location, which just so you know is exploits@arena.net (and not here).

Entirely agreed.
when a “lupi OS” like bug occur on raids.
You hire a new coder.
We’re here, and while we can’t respond to every post, we are listening.
The proof is in the pudding, and the pudding will be available for sampling very soon.
As you play the Raid content this weekend, please post your feedback. Talk to your friends, and communicate your concerns to us. Our goal is to provide you the highest quality challenging group content we’ve ever created, and your input is invaluable in ensuring we achieve that.
What would you say is the expected percentage (%) of players that will be able to complete the raids you’ve designed? The first wing at least.
Are you allowed to share that %?
I remember Josh Foreman shared with us the % of players expected to complete SAB W2 tribulation for example.
We can give you more meaningful feedback about the difficulty if we know the level of difficulty that is supposed to be.

So does that make dungeons rotten old pudding that has been gathering mold in the fridge for 2 years that no one wants to acknowledge?

I want to first say, I understand that you and several other very dedicated players do your best to work with anet, and bring these things to their attention. I value and appreciate your work and commitment. I did not post my list to downplay that effort. But, anet made their second major combat update in the past few months, and it seems directed at improving their pve game. I want to remind them, about how balancing pve is useless if everything is exploited.
It also seems like a relevant reminder, of how raids need continued support, or they will become the new dungeons.
Inb4 Anet gives up when raid became another Ele stacking activity.
