Is there any viable way to solo farm Vials in FOTM after the February patch?

Before the patch people were able to solo the swamp fractal trash mobs for vials (1, 2), but I’ve now been slaying them in full MF for 30 minutes without a drop of any kind. So it appears the drops on these have been nerfed.

I solo Farm the Ascalonian, the Mobs after the Gate all drop and you have the NPC’s helping you.

I ended up farming the kraits in beginning of water fractal. There are 3 groups of kraits and barracudas which can all drop loot. Got my Vial after about 2 hours with full MF armor, runes and food. Problem is that the kraits won’t respawn, so you need to get into the fractal again. The last 3rd group is also all veterans, which might be difficult for some classes. For ranger that was fine.

You can use LOS like in this vid in the ascalon fractal, just do 10+

Like you just mentioned the first 3 groups of the water fractal are really good for farming.

You can also do the first few harpy in the uncategorized fractal if you get that one when trying to farm, and the first part of the grawl is really good for farming.

Its best to do all 4 instead of trying to restart over and over to get the one you want.

Just do 20+ fractals. Before you know it you’ll have more shards than you know what to do with. Plus you you’ll have all the other reward just from doing the fractals.

I agree with Iaharl, dont force them to nerf yet more loot from mobs at the start of dungeons/fractals...

Plus considering 1 Shard=9 Vials. I don’t even waste my time killing mobs I don’t have to below scale 20. Vials and Globs aren’t worth the time.

Yeah, seems like a waste of time for trash mobs/loot. Best to complete the fractals for better drops.
