Hello Anet.

Some friends and i have comeback from a long break, and have been enjoying the game. You’ve made some really nice changes and polish, thank you.

Last night we gave a Fractal? a go and i must say it was the most frustrating event we’ve experienced thus far.
Who designs this stuff? At one point we died over and over again from being blown off 2×4 planks we had to climb in order to get to the top of this boss statue? Are the people designing your dungeons literally 10 years old? Because as adults this stuff is nowhere in the vicinity of being enjoyable or fun.

The constant movement and dodging out of crap on the ground is annoying at best, and really requires no strategy from the team. And if underwater tunnels full of flesh eating fish that kill your entire party over and over again are ideas of teamwork and fun to you at Anet, then you folks need to hire some new team leads.

This place was WAY too long for the average “we have jobs and we’d like have a bit of fun together and hopefully get through this before we all have to go to bed tonight” kind of folks, way too annoying, and simply not fun or engaging in anyway shape or form. It did however look great and felt epic in some sort of sick and sadistic way.
How can a team that put together this beautiful world be so utterly terrible at dungeon design?

You folks are amazing when it comes to world, animation, and model design. But everything else is sorely lacking.

Which leads me to my next beef with you Anet. Why in THE hell would you not officially implement a group finder in your mmo? Who doesn’t do this in 2013? You rely on some 3rd party community driven site to help your customer find a group in your game? What laziness, what incompetence.
And while i’m at it, why not an “Event” finder or tool to help your community come together and interact with one another?

I just don’t get it. Your number one goal should be to find ways to get your community together in a quick and easy fashion. Period.

And PLEASE hire some folks who have the ability to create dungeons and grouping events that are enjoyable, even relaxing to those of us who aren’t 13 years old.

Thanks, have a great day!

1. When the wind blows, why do you need to walk in? Just wait till it doesn’t blow anymore

2. It’s called strategy/teamplay. Get one of those plants and swim as a team. the flesh-eating fishes won’t attack you if you have the light of the plant

3. All fractals have unique mechanics. You only need to know what they are and adapt to the situation.
It’s not meant to be a “Enemy – Kill – Run – Enemy – Kill – Run – Boss – Kill – Chest” Game.
There is way more than just going from one enemy to another. Fractals (and most other dungeons) are based on different mechanics you need to understand. And if you do it is lots of fun.
For me it’s even fun to figure it out by myself.

I don’t attract, I don’t repel. That’s kinda odd

You might want to edit your post and alter the tone or it’ll just get deleted without the intended audience (the developers I assume) reading it.

I agree the length of a full fractal run is prohibitive for the kind of gamer you appear to be. I think fractals are more of a ‘hardcore’ type content (as in, people with time to run them, not necessarily amazing players).

I actually enjoy fractals a lot, I love the combination of jumping puzzles with boss strategies involved in them. The giant statue one is actually my favorite – the part you were failing at is where the little statutes blow wind in a pattern, just have to watch for that and you can get through it no problem.

I remember their comment being identical to the one EA/Bioware used as a mantra when SWTOR launched with no Group Finder: It builds community!

No, I don’t get it either. It’s like those Devs, and ours here, are stuck in the previous MMO industry, when you had a more niche, loyal player base that actually interacted and formed ties. MMOs also took more time but, again, different era and different player base demographics. I play this, DCUO, and WoW (though I am on a break at the moment), and the average player would like to get in, make a run or whatever, and log out to go to bed for work the next day. Even in a guild, one cannot guarantee a specific instance run at a specific time. That is where a LFG also comes in handy.
