Who's buying?
Tokens for armor, alt leveling, boredom, having enough gold but not enough time, feeling like supporting local dungeon sellers (my reason generally), monthly dungeons or daily dungeons, fun. There are a lot of reasons.
And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?

Exactly. It’s about saving time/frustration, not getting rewards.
It’s mostly about getting the armor/weapon skins, or Dungeon Master title.
thanks for the answers! Obviously some people have different concepts of value than I do, and that explains why I was confused.
These seem like legitimate reasons, and I hope to one day be rich enough to consider them :P
For what it’s worth, I’ve been desperate/tired enough to sell p2 for 4 or even 3.5 gp. There are some good values at 3 AM
I don`t buy dungeon paths at all. There are far too many scammers around who take your gold then kick you.
I’m “dat guy” that sells for 3gold, literally takes like 10-20minutes to fill up my party for free gold and tokens -_-. PS I don’t scam, I always tell people that I’m streaming my run just to assure them I am legit.
Anyways to answer on whos buying? I think its mainly people who want the Arah armor skin.

That’s too bad. I buy semi regularly and have never had that happen. More often, a scammer comes in to kick the seller. The seller always returns the gold.

The ones that scam are usually people that you can tell if they are going to scam as soon as you enter the instance (sitting at the dungeon entrance, no objectives complete or path selected).
In my experience all people who put the effort in to complete the dungeon will not scam legitimate buyers. There are rare exceptions such as guild groups selling at the end and repeatedly kicking pugs after paying. Although ive never witnessed it, only heard rumors (could be untrue).

Yup, that. I’ve bought Arah paths three or four times (got lucky and grabbed a couple “p1 5g” and “p2 5g” postings) for quick tokens for armor. I never had any issues where I was scammed. I always took screenshots of the name of the person I paid, just in case, but things always went smoothly.
