Why dont you make a raid dungeon?
It’s hard and takes too much time. What you want is to play living story forever. Living story is fun.
its hard if you are unskilled and cant learn some tactics
10 man lets say.Or 15?something!
Dont start gw2 is not about pve.Yes it is!
Dungeons are dying and we got bored.
I really dont see a reason not to do it.
Why don’t you play WoW instead?
Also it’s hard to design new dungeons and encounters, takes too long, coding is hard.
because i like gw2
its hard to make an excellent and complete game,i know
Because Anet are not capable of anything.
- Can’t overhaul old dungeons
- Can’t fix old dungeon bugs
- Can’t creat new instances because it is to much time consuming.
- Can’t balance the existing dungeon’s rewards
- Can’t make better telegraphed animations
- Every new patch returning old bugs, which were previously fixed
- Anet can only delete dungeons (like TA F/U)
Right now GW2 instances are the worst of every MMO that i have played.Making raids?Don’t make me laugh.I lost faith in Anet PvE team 4 months ago.

I’m playing Rift and Wild star for raid experience yes.And it’s really refreshing. They deliver really hard core experience and content which i was missing from GW2 instances. And i don’t talk about the gear grind.I compare pure mechanics and nothing else.
Wild star = p2p
Wild star = p2p
So?Some people can afford it.I played before WoW for 4 years which is too P2P.I don’t see any problem with that.

wildstar = dying quickly.
i want an answer from a GM or smth
you can say your opinion too :P
Dungeons and Instanced content Such as raids and the like are on hold/not being developed for a duration unknown. And yes we can provide an actual source for this information but you only need to look into the first page of this sub forum to find it.
World of Warcraft Raid content was rather good. The reason it was constantly being developed and run is because that is all World of Warcraft is. Outside of the Instanced content World of Warcraft had nothing. unless you really want to count fetch quests as engaging. So while they do in fact have “good” raids, That is all they had.
Wildstar offered some decent options from what I have heard. But Even some of the top tier guilds from here and other places have left that game. I do not have the first hand knowledge of why. or what was not working about Wild star. But in the grand scheme it really doesnt matter.
Raid Content whether you want to think it is or not, Is very “Gated” or “niche”. Believe me I would really love to have more of it, as would many people here. But the Reality is that They do take time and effort to implement. and for a very small faction of the player base.
It was Hard enough in many regards to even get a 5 man instance. I am not exactly enthused about trying to get a 10 man or even 15.
Will you actually get a “red post” concerning this? most likely not as they have already answered the question.
Do I personally want more Dungeons and Instanced Content? Absolutely, as do many others.
Will? we get more instanced content? Personally I think we will. but it will be a minimum of about 6 months before we will see the beginnings of it I would imagine.
Solution?
Get yourself and a bunch of your friends. and go raid in WvW. you have a plethora of mobs. large castles and champions to fight. and my personal favorite, Necromancers are really powerfull there
Thanks for answering
I just think it would be nice too have something new as far as it conserns the dungeons.
I will wait and hope
Watching it is not the same as participating in it. But dang it, a raid and this combat system could be so beautiful. Just a sample. Google more encounters if you want. I haven’t seen much of wildstar’s raids, not sure if they have traditional tanks and whatnot. But I suppose that would be the kind of model to follow.
There is only one event in this game that made me feel what I used to feel…Marionette. Not because she was hard, but because she was good.

It actually looks kind of epic.

there is a huge variety of dungeons in the game. It really hard to tell what type of dungeon you want to play.
Hey, I would actually do fractal 39 dailies as long as I dont play cliffside fractal.
I didnt know Microsoft made an Excel game.
:D I kid I kid
10 man raid will end up like dungeons.
Basically, 10 men stacking in one spot.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant

hey, try fractal 39 with stacking. You will have a bad time
if you want more dungeons and raids and tactics keep this post up :P
So 2 people can kick the other 8 ?
Now more seriously, with 10 players encounters are going to be just big punching bags (kind of right now, but worse). The difficulty in other games with raids mainly is coordination and assigning specific roles.
In GW2 the difficulty is “can you read and think a little ?” (not talking about doing a run in the least amount of time possible).
Before someone mentions Wurm : Wurm was a timed event with all new mechanics that could only be tried every 2 hours and enough players to cap a map. Because of this, it took players a while to understand those mechanics (unlike dungeons where a wipe is only a 30 seconds delay to try again) and for most of the map to actually be useful in the fight.
Creating a 10 man dungeon is simply going to be a waste of time. Some players are going to find it boring, others are going to complain that it’s too hard and the result is simply going to be another dead dungeon that barely anyone bothers.
I really feel that the larger scale raiding is very much an expansion of the group engine. The group engine being the whole trinity thing. In raids you have healers not just managing their party but also their main tanks. Tanks shielding not just their group but the whole raid. Control/support/misc. people doing other stuff.
it’s really about the entire team working together more than the individual.
That’s just not what GW2 is IMO. GW2’s anti trinity system pushes a lot more of the responsibility onto each individual. The teamwork is important but the primary concern is that everyone can play well by themselves.
I’m not sure how a 15 man thing would work in GW2. I’d imagine that either it would require certain skills from various professions (boon stripping, reflections, etc) or it’d be just a huge HP sink that is still soloable.
I think I’d rather they just add mroe 5 man dungeons/fractals than expand into larger scale systems for instanced content. if I get the drive to raid again I’ll either start Wildstar or hop back into EQ or something.
Raids cannot be purchased via gem store and it costs manpower and time and lots of coffee breaks in between nap times. Basically, any update that does not involve gem store items/sales are “in the trashcan”
Without reworking the squad and party systems (think about boons and such) it won’t be possible. With the hybrid like classes however it’s just stupid, they should go with regular 5 man dungeons and / or Fractals. Later one can be aimed towards more “hardcore” players since the skill ceiling is rather low in dungeons.
And as others already said ANet won’t develop instanced content for a while sooo find something else until they release something one day. Maybe. Probably. But probably not.
They’ve already said no more dungeons.
