Why havn't they scaled dungeons yet?
You have two choices:
1. Do dungeons with 4 other people.
2. Do not do dungeons.
That is all.
And how would they scale it? Just dividing every health by 5 would make most fights extremely easy for me.
… well trying to find 4 people is difficult

Yeah, how long would it take you to do Lupus with 20% of his current HP? 1 minute per phase?

Phase 2 already lasts about 1 minute.
Lots of single player games out there, why you coming to this MMO and demanding it changed to suit your unsocializing playstyle?
Go play Kingdom Of Amalour or something, there you can run through dungeons all by your lonesome.
When in Rome, do as Romans do, or get the eff out.
I’ve been avoiding dungeons since release because forming groups is freaking rediculous. I don’t want to play with guilds and I don’t want to work with other players. Dungeons are too hard to solo, so why havn’t they just scaled the spawn in dungeons so that soloing is possible. I feel left out…
You can already solo a lot of the dungeons will take you longer, but much possible.
Other than that, don’t you understand that if dungeons could be soloed, people wouldn’t play them in groups (Easier solo, since no coordination is required)
I’d end up doing 5 minute clears with my thief, solo, in CoF path 1.
this is a MMORPG, you know what that stands for right OP? if not look it up, it means its not a solo game, get your head out of your kitten and play the game the way it is ment to play or go play a solo RPG if you want to only solo…

it isn’t even difficult when you don’t use the site. its cal get into a decent guild and most of your group should fill with a single “/g LFM for XXX”, then a quick /m LF (remainign 1 or 2) followed by an alt/tab to post if no one responds to that. rarely takes more then 2min to fill a group unless maybe your wanting to do those ungodly long/buggy paths such as SE2, COF3, ARAH4 etc
I stopped playing because I hate typing 3 letters 50 times to do anything

If only there was a way to queue for dungeons and once available go do it without wasting time sitting in a city Typing
Go play a single player action rpg then, doesn’t sound like “MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE” games are for you.

you haven’t heard about this site then http://gw2lfg.com/ . You can literally get a dungeon in seconds. Also they’re by now working on an LFG tool as it was stated in what they’re doing for 2013
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/colin-johanson-on-guild-wars-2-in-the-months-ahead/
Improving the “looking for group” tool to make it easier to find other players to play with in the game.
So hopefully things will get better soon

Then why don’t you join a guild?
I’ve been in a guild since release and I’ve no problems getting people in for dungeons

You shouldn’t be playing MMO’s then.
Let’s look at the initialise of MMORPG
Massively
Multiplayer
Online
Role-playing
Game
The first three words are Massively Multiplayer Online.
Massively implies big and multi implies many – thereby it means lots and lots of – players. Thereby you are playing the wrong game. You are playing a game that is online with lots and lots of players. If you are going to play a game that advertised lots of online players then you are going to encounter and indeed need to play with other players. Either deal with your fear of other players or go play skyrim. Dungeons are designed to fulfil the multiplayer grouping aspect of what is implied by MMO.

Really? Let’s review how many players are in a group.
It’s 5.
Just because MMO makers confuse their own marketing terms does not make dungeon running a massively multiplayer experience. Now if you could actually run dungeons as an MMO, i.e. with a giant zerg, there wouldn’t be an issue as soloers could just do their own thing within the zerg, just as they do in the actual MMO modes, i.e. WvW. The 5-man groups have nothing to do with MMO. As it is though, you’re the one who misunderstands English if you think 5 people constitutes massively multiplayer. If you think that getting 5 people together to run through to the end as fast as possible is what a player should expect from the gameplay, then you’ve just described Gran Turismo online not an MMORPG. So let’s drop the ill-founded condescension, accept the fact that tons of people want to play dungeons solo, and put that in the context of the thread which is about people being responsible for ruining other people’s gameplay experience and expectations.
I would like to be able to solo dungeons as well.
We have a small guild of close friends who have families/children and are not always available… we often 3 man some dungeons and do ok, but i think this is a great idea personally.

80 Ele (2), 80 Engi (3), 80 Rev (2)

What the hell are you trying to argue? That because its 5 people its not an MMO? really?? ARE YOU SERIOUS!? Because he wasnt saying a single dungeon is MMO. The game is MMO…
People like you need to just shut up and not say anything.
“I WANNA SOLO IN A GAME THATS NOT MEANT TO BE SOLO! WAH WAH IM A kitten #8221;
Many ‘single player’ games support co-op modes with up to 4 players. So in your definition the addition of 1 player makes it “massive”?
IHMO: “Massive” does not define the size of the world or amount of content but rather the amount of concurrent players.
Dungeon instances of 5 players are merely single player 5 person co-op mode.
Now if they’d only design/scale them so they could be soloed.
I cut my gaming teeth on Adventure&ZorkI,II,III.
