Today I decided to do Crucible of Eternity with some randoms. I have heard of this technique known as “stacking” which is supposed to be the easiest way to kill everything. We would pile on the boss and slap it with our melee weapons. Yet, every time we went to stack against the various bosses, such as Subject Alpha, we just died in one hit. Everyone was telling me that stacking is supposed to be some cheap tactic that kills everything while they cant do anything back!!! I thought I was never supposed to dodge!!! What happened??

Did you have doubts that it may not work? If you have even the smallest doubt, stacking will not give you its blessings and thus, you’ll die.

Were you wearing the op berserker gear? It’s an exploit that allows you to one shot bosses with your auto attack and you’re far more tanky than a soldier set. Anet is still fine with it even though it’s obviously bypassing mechanics like tanking, healing, and all those trinity stuff. You can go as far as taking potions, but I fear getting banned for that.

There are four common reasons why stacking may not work:

- You are facing the wrong way when spamming the 1 key with no target
- You picked up the fiery greatsword and had autotarget on
- You forgot to copy the meta build off the internet
- You were busy posting a troll forum thread and another system and neglected to press any buttons on the system you are currently playing “Guild Wars 2” on

Apart from that you should be fine for two thirds of the explorable modes.

Stacking isn’t released yet. Its a feature in the upcoming patch where you get permanently invulnerability and +10,000% damage if you are admiring your heros panel instead of seeing the boss.

Anet are releasing it under the guise: Out of Sight, Out of Mind!

Stacking is something that is definitely being discussed and is on the table. It’s being iterated upon moving foward and will be released when it’s ready for a better cohesive and enjoying experience. If you don’t log in during the Stacking feature release, you may have to unlock it for 200 gems in the Gemstore. Otherwise it’s purely free!

It’s something players have been asking for and we are very excited to show you all about it!

Apparently one person does.

But srsly, some folks used to push him into a wall and FGS the kittener, because standing behind him and auto attacking for the 10 seconds it takes to kill him “legit” was too hard ;-)
