Will dungeons ever get fixed?
No.
Pretty sure dungeons are to be abandoned more or less forever. They don’t consider the content worth making anymore.
Want better dungeons? Do fractals! Rewards aren’t as great, but they’re tons of fun. At this point only Arah and Fractals keep me entertained just doing them. The rest gotta do the right tactics or it’s more annoying than fun to me (No PUG tactics, they suck and take the fun out of things).
Not only will they never be fixed, they’re getting more and more bugged:
- Every update introduces new bugs as side-effects of whatever they’re implementing (in some other part of the game, of course).
- They don’t bother to fix bugs that are dungeon related.
I imagine within a year, Lupi will not only continue to be hitting in melee with Necrid Bolt, but each one will spawn a new Lupi.
I still check the forums to see if there are any developments, but I saved myself the foolishness of false hopes in this vein and just moved on to another game to get my jollies. I’m kind of unsure why I even bother still logging in for the dailies log in rewards, but I do.
There was a time when I assumed after 3 years post-release we will have the double amount of dungeons and move on. Now after nearly 3 years people still solo Lupi. This is ridiculous: in other MMOs there are dozens of hard content encounters, instanced, non-instanced, instanced raids etc. And we got one new dungeon path and 2 teared down dungeons put in fractals.
I also want bigger parties than 5. Where are 10man dungeons? Even the new PvP mode stronghold will be the same old 5 man parties. What the heck? Are you so afraid of making bigger parties? Just let us make 5 – 50 parties in open world for bosses etc. I know there are squads but that’s a joke since you are not really in the party and no one talks in the squad chat.

Forget soloing, you can still skip Lupi completely after 3 years.
I’m sure the “challenging group content” in HoT they keep avoiding will make up for it.

I guess the fact that beta invites drop in Silverwastes is a clear sign what kind of players anet wants and what their definition of “challenging group content” is
If it was up to me I would:
- Give Lupine Blast a true minimum range (Lupicus wouldn’t even attempt to cast on melee targets)
- Add Lupine Blast to phase 1
- Add Mighty Kick to phase 2 and 3
- Normalize Locust Swarms to 2 per Roar
- Make Roar knockdown and spawn a grub in a cone per each hit player
- Fix placing stuff on walls
- Fix Lupicus resetting near closed door
- Make Lupicus actually reset if he moves out of the arena
- Fix Lupicus turning invisible if Lupine Blast (dash) gets reflected, etc.
- Reduce amount of projectiles in Frenzied Blast (p2) but increase their radii (limits reflect damage and makes sure all circles get drawn)
- Make phase 2->3 change less RNG
- Check what’s up with Frenzied Blast (p3) damage
- Remove minimum range from Frenzied Blast (p3)
- Make Necrid Trap less likely to miss
- Give attacks distinct names
And that’s just Lupicus….

Pretty much agree with all those. Not sure about the roar knockdown AND grubs in cone though. Personally i would just make it one or the other.
Grubs knock you down when they spawn so it would only be consistent.
Oh so you mean instant grub spawns? If its like that then yeah thats fine.
