With every patch Anet brings more nerfs to dungeons and it is very clear that explorable dungeons are not meant to be challenging but instead meant to be easy content for all levels of skill to be able to complete. That is fine. I’m not going to say there should not be content available for all people to be able to complete. If some people find dungeons with this level of difficulty fun then i’m happy for them.

Personally however, the content that i find fun is content that challenges me and makes me think. I want to change skills before fights and be forced to stop dpsing for once and switch to support but those things are completely unnecessary. If you can dodge you’ll be okay and can treat almost every fight the same as any random mob you would find when leveling.

Other games include easy dungeon content but also hard modes of dungeons or different tiers of dungeons, as well as raid content that is made to be hard. So i am left wondering, are explorable modes the hardest content we will ever get or is challenging PVE content coming in the future?

Would be good, its currently very hard to find a challange in the game. Even CoE was pretty easy. I went there with a pug and after we finished they all agreed it was a lot easier than expected.

Would love to see some really hard and long content ; )

Could be made like in GW a map with only one tp (or completly without??) where you can do events like in the normal PVE but made for groups and reallly hard enemys but with high quality drops like ektos or obsis etc … like the UW in Gw1.
You can only start when your groups pays some entrance fee , so its not for free and you have to really think about which skills are most effective etc…

Well I am actually in casual guild and we have only few lvl 80 but we feel that the instantiated content should be harder to play thru… we finnished every instance without problem and we feels like there are no brick walls like dungeon prerequisities or super wipe festivals on bosses. I hope that A-net will make a HC mods or 10-ppl instances with more casual unfriendly content.

I really spank my ten year old son in Halo… he complained about it so we came up with the idea of patching one of my eye’s, so I can only see out of one. I didn’t spank him so easily then and he won more than I did. Try it… trust me it adds a whole new element and makes it much more difficult.

Giving yourself handicaps is a horrible suggestion. Thats like suggesting to take of half your armor or wear lvl 70 greens instead of lvl 80 exotics.

They are the ones complaining of it being too easy… this suggestion would make it not easy (Guranteed) and keep the majority happy while also lessening the work load of the dev’s.

Heres another suggestion… No chair’s allowed, you can only run these dungeons standing up at your desk, no sitting down… See if thier easy now, yeh !

I currently run all my dungeons in 146% MF gear. They are still doable even with that handicap.

I don’t like the idea of Hard-modes. Its like WoW all over. Raid-finder, Normal and Hard-mode. I got tired of the content in Raid-finder mode. “How many times must I sack death-wing? This kid just doesn’t seem to die!”

I prefer new and harder content vs. hard-modes. Atleast my story in GW2 will progress forwards that way then vs. running around in circles on my story progression.

Try my three listed handicaps, bet they turn those easy mode dungeons into a nightmare.

1) Use an eye patch to cover one eye
2) Tie one arm behind your back
3) No sitting down, only standing in front of you keyboard and mouse.

Only having one hand/ arm would still be easy for anyone with a razr Naga… you can do everything with just a mouse.

We need a hard mode but it wont happen as there is no better gear to put in them and they aren’t going to poof with some cool skins anytime soon.

No, they don’t. There have been a lot of dungeon changes and so far only one change which made a single boss easier. The rest all made dungeons harder (see: Magg changes).

The changes to Magg actually made the intended strategy much easier. Majority of the changes have been tuning difficulty down or fixing current exploits. Changes only made dungeons harder if you are using unintended methods of completing encounters.

I am glad that I don’t have to spend hours trying to grind out a dungeon like in other games. They added spawn WP inside of the instance, great idea. And, then have repair areas inside the instance as well. So, no more waiting for everything to re-spawn and run back and then wait again for 2 people to repair and hope not to get wiped again and have to run back and repair, etc…They took all the meaningless running and wasting time and just made it so you can stay in the encounter and finish it fairly quickly. I would think over time they might add a new tier of items and Tokens for harder difficulty. But I think its pretty good right now, its not so hardcore that everyone leaves after a few wipes. But, its also not so easy, so you have to communicate with each other and be organized in Voice chat or something similar. I think they have a decent balance right now.

Increasing the bomb’s timer for 100 seconds to 200 seconds does not make it easier, no matter what strategy you use.

No need to change mechanics, number of attack, bombs etc.
A funny future legendary mode could be just the same exact dungeon, with every single creature 4-9 level more higher. Try to deal with it
