Wish they'd actually fixed FotM >.<
They haven’t fixed it yet.
really bad engineer
No no. They haven’t fixed it. The post they made about fixing it didn’t actually say they fixed anything. They said that it will be fixed by the end of January.
They made a post basically letting us know that the fractal changes are on the way. They should be implemented by the end of January is what it said.
First of all, “fixing” is the wrong word. Nothing is broken. It works as it was intended.
And as mentioned before, Arenanet announced changes regarding the fractals, where members could indeed join higher levels. This will be done in the update in January.

No, sorry, it IS broken.
The BRD was broken to begin with. They simply designed FotM to broken requirements. Why no one bothered to point this out during QA is beyond me.

You can’t just wave a magic wand and fix something. It’s based on the story instance netcode for a reason, They were probably rushing to get it done on time and it’s hardly practical to mess with the base engine on a short timescale. Sacrifices. Damage control. The lesser of two evils.

All of us tried to zone in at our appropriate level but apparently they haven’t fixed jack x.x
Announcements of intent and patch notes are two different things.
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

It’s based on the story instance netcode for a reason
I’ve yet to hear a single good reason why FotM was based on this code to begin with. Why wasn’t it designed based on regular dungeon again? Laziness? Idiocy?

Yes, let’s rework a fundamental part of the game engine instead of shutting down fractals until they’re redesigned properly using already existing, more fault-tolerant resources.
LOGIC.

Why are you defending this kitten? I don’t understand.
They obviously should have put “COMING SOON” in that announcement
Apparently it’s too difficult to read the very first sentence of the actual announcement.
You can’t seriously expect people to read something.

They read enough to know about those particular fixes, but as usual, ignore the context.
the thing that needed fixing was the dc problem, the lvl based instance was something they where working on and is just an upgrade to the system , the lvl based works as intended
The intent is stupid. I shouldn’t have to relevel fractals from level 1 on my “alt” when my “main” is at level X already.
whats the bet the “fix” will break something else.
