Worry about Fractal dungeon...
Yeah just same thing popped on my mind.
or that all other instances will die…
I am hoping that the issue you have thought of is blockable in some way shape or form.
I think this is not really an issue to be honest as the biggest reward from this dungeon is Ascended items and you get them from chests, of which have a higher drop rate the more fractals you have done. Seeing as you have to do 3 to progress to the next difficulty stage it’ll be near enough impossible to farm the 3 easiest fractals.

It’s certainly a possibility, but we feel that doing so will be very inefficient. Three islands must be completed between trips back to the hub area that saves your progress and advances you to the next level. You could certainly keep retrying to get your very first island to be an “easier” one, or one that you prefer over others, but if you try to quit the next island in hopes of going to a new one you will have to complete all 3 again. This would mean you’d have to get the preferred ones three times in a row with a possibility of 9 different islands. We feel the odds are so low in doing that, that you will run whatever island you get.
Also, in terms of difficulty, we tried our best to balance them accordingly. While some are shorter than others, or have different puzzle elements, we feel that you won’t be trying to quit tougher ones in favor for easier ones.

….Seriously?

Okay I see. So you can’t just go out to reset instances till you get the one you want after the first one. That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.8)
If you have only 3 you want to play then your odds are fairly low. However if there are few which you just can’t complete then it becomes an issue.
I’m more worried about the Skill-Balancing of mobs and how it scales up when they’re “Elites” since some elites seem to have upwards of 250% base damage modifiers on attacks that have NO BUSINESS being multiplied that high.
Case in point: it’s possible run Arah path 3, threee times in a row, in the time it would take to run Arah path 1 or (for some groups) Arah path 2. This is because you don’t have to deal with any Illuisionists, Sentinels, & DeadEyes (I LOVE Flannum BTW for bringing those guys back in obscure Easteregg form, they were my favorite PvP unit in Sacrifice, haha).
But Seriously though.. I’ve seen 1 single illuisionist kill most of an entire team faster than Lupicus or the Priest of Balthazar ever could. And there was nothing they could do about b/c it was either a bug, or my interrupts were on Cooldown (while the Illusionist doesn’t appear to have any cooldowns on its attacks at all and no charge-up telegraph either).
If this remains a problem in FOTM, the Devs should strongly consider making the Chargeup/Telegraph time scale up as well on these potentially 1-hitting attacks
