Worth levelin alt once I hit 35 n AC?
No, it’s not worth it.

For about the billionth time today, I agree with Death.
If you’re level 80, you can join on your 80 and switch to your alt on the boss so you get the dungeon XP on your lower toon. Not sure if Anet will ever change this. Just make sure you’re not the party leader or else it will disband and kick you out

No it is not worth it cause now you have to be over powered in full exotic gear and lvl 80 to run a lvl 35 dungeon!!
No. its worth it. I have countless stacks of tokens i can gear 6 characters with and I have never done AC with an 80. Pre or post patch.
This is pretty much how I level my alts from 35 to 55 at least. One run of AC can get you almost an entire level, about a gold, and 66ish tokens. I’ve been able to gear out a few of my alts in AC because of this.
Most PuGs will hate you, and I understate that. They will most likely kick you on site.
When I started running AC on my guardian at lvl 35, I was outlasting lvl 80s. You have to play smarter when you’re on a lower level. If you don’t think you can dodge, block, and kite when necessary, I’d suggest leveling with some map completion to learn your class a bit better.
Also, get a dungeon guild, or a guild with some friends. My guild will always take a sub80 on any dungeon that allows it. PuGs probably wont, unless you find a group that states they are accepting sub 80s. I happened across a few nice PuGs, but I always asked if it was okay for me to be sub80.
Personally, I prefer leveling in dungeons because it really causes you to learn your class. Good luck.

Ya I am going to try and run it tonite. I was worried with all the people hating new AC if people are even running it and if they are they might not be willing to run with a sub 80. I’ve been stocking up on xp boosters and I know dungeons are the fastest way to level and on top of that if you run one enough you basically get to cash out once you hit 80 and have a full set of exotic gear.
pretty much what heylo said, when running dungeons at a lower level than 80, you pretty much have to be on top of everything, or else you’ll probably be kicked

Its totaly worth it.
This way there will be more people around the actual lvl requirement for the dungeons doing the dungeons. And hopefully out of that pool, Anet can get more data for when it comes to ballancing dungeons properly, as opposed to all us lvl 80 full exo/acsended facerolling and going “whoohohooo its too easy make it harder”.
It wont be effective. You’ll be much better off leveling via crafting or exploration. But the data could help Rob and his team alot.
We just did path 3 with 2 lvl 35s and the rest of us 80. It took us forever for the final boss until we learned to stack aoe heals and regen and stick around grast. Very fun boss :p
pre patch ac was rather quick, you could gain 3-5 levels per hour if you got lucky with groups. postpatch non ideal groups (ie with new players etc) will take forever (30-60 minutes), if they even can finish. though in a very good group it might be a bit faster than prepatch, as bosses tend to have less health (but hit a lot harder).
personally, I don’t think ac is useful for leveling anymore. before the patch I could enter with a lvl 35 and pull 4 noobs of similar level through in a decent amount of time, if I explained the dungeon while we went through. now if you enter with people who don’t know how to gear/skill/trait for AC you’d be better off leaving instantly and looking for a new group.
Well we finished P1 and right after that patch lastnight we tried p2…. Highly disapointed…. The Ghost Eater was bugged out and we couldn’t finish the dungeon from him being perma invulnrable. My group rage quit and that was it for the night.
