I don’t understand. Why have an anti dungeon farming system? The dungeon isn’t being farmed by bots. People are spending legitimate hours and hours to earn their gear. Why dampen their hard / well earned efforts? Not to mention making explorable dungeons an absolute waste of time now.

They don’t want people to “grind”, but atleast in CoF I used more then half my brain to play instead of running around doing dull escort and kill 20 waves of monster DE’s and moving around fighting different mobs and button smashing 3-5 buttons with my eyes closed. I literally fall asleep and get bored with “their” way of playing. Now CoF is harder, great I can use my brain in this game now, but the rewards are completely shot to kitten now. I’m done, calling in for a refund within 2 weeks if this game is in its current state.
Just sit around playing the auction house. It’ll be just like Diablo 3. People liked that about Diablo 3, right? I don’t know because I quit playing after a week and a half.

this is near game breaking for me. I’m already on my wits end with this game but this does it.

There were certain things that could be done (and were being done) in both CM and CoF that were not intended to be possible (read: exploits), we fixed them. End of story!

After reading that, I too regret buying this game if this company doesn’t care about the community’s opinions.
If they do, they have a bad way of showing it.
You guys were doing stuff that obviously wasn’t intended. It’s now fixed. Be glad you weren’t banned for exploiting like all the rest. You’ve gained far more than you should ever have done.
We weren’t exploiting though, we were putting in the time and earning the reward for doing it. I see no problem within that.
if it wasnt intended rainfall then it shouldnt have been fixed weeks later. id rather them not even give out another dungeon now cause it will be less rewarding than the last dungeon you do.
Hey guys, just so you know, doing a dungeon normally is exploiting. So don’t do that.
Also, if we were exploiting, that exploit would have been fixed a long long time ago.
Exploits in this game are always immediately fixed.
The game will have a new build and it will restart.
This “exploit” has been going on for a long time now so if ArenaNet wants to say it is an “exploit”, then that just makes them look even worse for letting it go on for so long.
Which btw would be extremely ridiculous if they banned anyone because of it.
The community is already upset with ArenaNet.
Imagine what would happen if people were banned.
So a community manager says it’s an exploit yet you disagree. No. It wasn’t intended. And maybe it wasn’t fixed fast because it was difficult to fix? Point still stands. Specifically talking about CoF. That was stupid. I doubt this will affect people doing legitimate runs.
Maybe buying items with money that wasn’t obtained by turning gems into gold will be considered an exploit in the future.
I heard mention somewhere of a 1 minute CoF run. That I would consider an exploit. But the only other “thing” I can think people were “exploiting” was the run through the lava with the ice gun. 1 or 2 people doing it instead of all 5.
If that is the exploit that they are talking about then that’s just…sad.

Nah.. they probably talk about dodging and kiting mobs while Magg is planting a bomb, instead of fighting clearly unbalanced and overpowered waves of monsters, that spawns 10 times faster than you can kill them.. And now they even increased number of mobs and time of bomb planting.

You call dying dozens of times to earn some tokens and maybe money by doing easiest path of dungeon while others are almost impossible? Righttt….
Be glad that i’m not banned? Omg, i just can’t stop laughing xD They would suicide by doing it. GW2 would be dead so fast that you can’t even imagine. If something is not working as intended it’s THEIR fault, and they SHOULD fix it. Nothing less, nothing more. But the things they are calling exploits are just pathetic, and makes me want to laugh in their faces.
I did CoF 2nd path maybe 6 or 7 times only, and the way they buffed it is JUST STUPID. Use your brain man. Last boss is a joke – it takes like 1 minute to take him down.. And still they did not buff him, but the 2 hardest moment of this path instead. Where is logic in that? Now you have to struggle for like an hour losing fortune for repairs and get nothing in exchange. Dungeons are not rewarding considering your effort put in doing them. And if something is completely not rewarding it’s just boring and people stop doing that, eventually leaving the game. Anet will suicide by doing things like this. And one day you will all wonder, why is there less and less players and stupid WoW is still the best (sic!) mmo game.
I’m not complaining about buffing too easy path, but complaining about the way it was done! Don’t you think it’s stupid that they increase difficulty of the hard moments, instead doing it for the way too easy last boss in 2nd path of CoF ? Wouldn’t it be better, and made path more balanced? Why won’t they nerf last boss of the 1st path to encourage people to do more than only 1 path.
Now overall you get harder dungeons and more kitteny rewards. So… unless some1 is a masochist and want to struggle whole month to farm exotic gear (cause now farming dungeon for exp/gold is not possible) it’s no reason to do dungeons at all.
I just don’t see logic in their logic. It’s just idiotic. That’s all.
And more about exploiting and not intended stuff:
The way they explain it is even more stupid. Soon they will consider everything as an exploit cause it’s not working as they intended… Some advice – Spent more times on testing stuff before you put it in the game. People found ways to earn money in resonable time instead of wasting they money, time and effort doing impossible ways of dungeons which are completely not fun and not rewarding your effort (and that’s why they are not fun)… You are just blind or w/e and at this moment killing this game.

- we need certain class setups to finish the dungeon
- we have only 5 skills per weapon, which aren’t even customizable
- we are anonymous in WvWvW with no OPTION to reveal our names, for those who wish to do so
- we can’t run the same dungeon multiple times in a row
- we can’t trade player to player
…………. (I’ll cut the story short)
The amount of freedom this game allows us… Just epic.

—We can’t farm mobs for more than 15 minutes cause you lower drop rates to the ground cause of bots, hurting this way legimate players.

this update is bullkitten, this is not fun anymore
they could have made the other dungeons “easier” / faster and not make he good ones harder, this just sucks and why did you make them harder AND nerf the reward? epic fail
30min for a Story mode 40 dungeon was fine, the others take way to long and now it takes like double the time with a pug and its not fun anymore
btw all this gw2 talk about how different it is was all lie a-net endgame is a stupid farm fest, is this even a gw or a diablo?
I rather “grind” in other mmos atleast they dont lie and their endgame is for fun then grinding arah events 24/7 or running dungeons with kitteny rewars
Im waiting a few patches and quit if the dont bring back the “fun”.
I just wish I could get back my money, I really wanted gw2 to be different but its just grind like any other game
