XP an alt by switching character
Yep, just be courteous and make sure your group is cool with it before you do it, especially if pugging.
yes
cool thank you !
You need to be in the instance before the end reward is given, not necessarily changing just before the boss dies.
Reminds me how one time when pugging with a guildie, he decided to do this without telling us and he forgot he was the opener >…>
Here’s the time for each cutscenes for explorable dungeons:

Best way to level given the abomination that’s been (and will be for the forseeable future) the NPE.
lol found a group yesterday, and they were quite bad, I had to carry them till we got to the boss, left him with less 1/4 hp and when I switched (I told them I’ll do it at the very beginning) they couldn’t finish him off and all died. Then one of them votekicked me and the others followed. LOL that crap can be even done solo. Some people are really dumb.
Anyway thanks for the replies, got me faster levels that way. I like the game, but the leveling is really boring. I’d say I even prefer WoW or any traditionnal MMO quest lines model.
while this is a good way to level an alt, given the frustrations you encounter it’s easier to join the karma train in Edge of the Mists. you won’t get vote kicked or trolled and you get levels like candy.
Also buying AC paths 1 and 3 is good leveling. Considering how cheap it is and if you have use for the tokens.
I personally don’t like the the switching at boss as a practice with pugs unless the its pugs I’ve done runs with before. Never did it with pugs myself. But I usually give my go since the content is so easy anyway.
Hey just popping in to say, one of the best places to do this is COF p2, nobody has to hold a cutscene for you. You can easily log out after the boss dies, and get into the dungeon for the reward during the obnoxiously long unskippable dialogue time.

Oh, those old days where if the opener left everyone got kicked out. I do not miss those days, not at all.
