Well, we have had a great idea for a dwardven fractal by Frosty-and-Frosty-Law-Firm

I would also like to see a dwarf one and also a tengu and an ogre one.

Here’s one: How about a fractal where we get to choose our pink ring after completion?

A mursaat one. Bonus points if we get to be mursaat or jade for the duration

A Centaur one, involving the elonian centaurs and that big tree of theirs

One where you get to free glint of the elder dragons control, alongside the forgotten.

The fall of orr, a fractal where you get to fight against the charr legions in Orr, only to be ported out right as khilbron explodes everything.

I want to see the bonus mission pack (GW1) missions as fractals. I’m all in for bring back old lore and playing it in the new GW2 system.

Since we have one that takes place in the Jade Sea, how about one that also takes place in Echovald Forest? Maybe some kind of remnant of Urgoz could be there.

Another Fractal could also take place in the Crystal Desert and maybe involve the use of The Lonely Vigil . I found that landmark interesting and wonder if there’s some lore attached to it on why it was built.

Lastly, I’d like to see a rather strange Fractal where in the dystopian future, the Inquest takes over and harnesses the powers of the Norn animal spirits and Human gods. However, there would be a surprise that the current leader of the Inquest during that time happens to be non-Asuran. May I suggest a very diabolical female Norn in light Inquest armor?

I would love to see the crystal desert and other areas, it would be truly great.. This is a great platform forb the devs to try out new locales and areas to gauge reactions..

I love the idea of the gw1 mission packs and incorporating them with upgraded textures and plenty of lore.

The pink ring is for another discussion sorry but theres plenty threads about that stuff. this is what you wanna see in the future. the directrion you would like fractals top go in mission wise.. Thanks guys! There is even an oppurtunity here for expanded fractal sets top be sold for gems or cash. mission packs etc, with unique armor sets..

I would like to see some areas we visited in our story missions expanded upon and a fractal being made from them.

I’d like to do an airship fractal. Similar to Arah story. Maybe 75-80% of it would you be on own ship defending yourself from airship pirates/whatever. End boss would be you going onto enemy ship. Have either the actual ship loving if possible or at least make it look like we are flying around.

So you have different paths on it ie, dolphin vs dark path. You can change the type of ship/enemy boarding yours

add me as a friend and i will help you run it, Im regurlarly doing fractal runs under lvl 5 for people to catch up. Its also my philosophy that its better to be inside at lvl 2 than outside waiting for lvl 20..

Yet I digress... I like that idea fiddlesticks... pirate style fractal would be good fun specially a boarding action along with it or maybe a floating castle or island like that mages...

I would like to see an epic battle with dhuum in the underworld as a fractal
Or playing as humans trying to survive while moving through the shiverpeaks
seeing rurik die once more. , or fighting the charr during the foefire + the first moments becoming a vengefull spirit

nice ideas i like the foefire ones.. Another one i just had was maybe our chatrcters seeing our world, 20th century and doing a frctal of that nature... not sure how u would tie it in but it would be cool..

An airship battle…. everyone takes control of different types of ships (so professions really don’t matter) and fights. The ships all have various pros and cons and you have to work together to fight successfully.

But I would want to play as them. Like the flame legion. I mean, we’ve had to experience spectral agony. Now let us give it to other people!

I want an empty room with chests full of precursors, T6 mats and lodestones.

A karka hive infiltration, ala Aliens, could be fun

One where your team splits up to fight your mirror images one on one – can only proceed once all duels are won in your favour.

Another where you have to fight a dragon while doing a jumping puzzle to reach environmental weapons (cannons etc). Falling is death. Dragon regens to full if you all die.

Another where you accidentally fall into the Mad King’s realm and.. well go nuts.

I want to see the starter areas (first 10-15 minutes) of Prophecy and Nightfall redone as factals.

These Fractals would auto-level you DOWN to 1-2 rather than up to 80.

I would love to see more Underwater Fractals. Really underwater combat is so rare while we have a weaponset just for that.

Also can we please craft exotic breather masks?

As for GW1 stuff redone. How about defending Glint? I loved the Brotherhood Challenge.
Maybe something around the Hall of Monuments. Id really like to know how it got beaten up, that would make an awesome fractal.

In general many of the Nightfall locations and dungeons.

Also please more Boss Levels. Jade Sea is fine, but the Maw is getting boring.

Participating in the guild wars.

We never get to actively participate in them in either game (though you do get to see some fighting during the April fools event in gw1)

I think it would be a neat fractal that lets us experience the event that the games are actually named after.

It would be nice to have a fractal where each person of the group become one of the member of Destiny’s edge and do one of the epic battles they did in the past. There are 6 members so one would be a npc and other would be your team. Your skill bars would be changed accordingly. ^^

awesome ideas keep them coming guys I think the mesmer style one could be part of that mage guys castle, you know the floating one.. would love to see the inside of that place

I love this topic. Me and my guild mates were already talking about this on Teamspeak. So many great ideas came up. Many of them have been told already in this topic. Here are two that left:

Small part of the adventure showed in “Ghosts of Ascalon”. Maybe the part with traps and ambush under Ebonhawke. Or the crypt under Divinity’s Reach. Or the fight with crystal giant.

The last minutes before Pre-Searing, as in GW1. Tracking down Vatlaaw Doomtooth with Prince Rurik. After he’s dead, the Searing begins.

I love BlakThornArrow’s idea with Shiverpeaks, Rurik and stuff.

A boss that changes periodically into other bosses in the game and randomly uses those bosses attacks while you can melee him on a platform but dps has to fight him from moving platforms they have to jump on while trying to avoid damage :-)

The colossus from the Cliffside fractal gives me an idea for a fractal, especially since GW2 is so hardcore about showing off the fact that they inserted jumping into the game.

Fight a colossus (or dragon) in Shadow of the Colossus style.

A large, moving jumping puzzle-esque creature which requires the team to climb and avoid obstacles while trying to reach key points. Blowing off armor, taking out it’s eyes, etc. Maybe even without having random mobs either. Just make it a pure “puzzle and boss” kind of thing.

Or in the same kind of ideal…

Bring back the Mad King’s Clocktower. Doing that with a party of 5 could be pretty awesome. Maybe just slow down the poison (or remove it) and put some spiders and skeletons on some of the gears.

-Thunderhead Keep, holding the line against armies of Stone Summit and White Mantle via siege weapons.

-Augury Rock, fighting a doppelganger party.

-Hell’s Precipice, taking the forms of Mhenlo (staff/scepter guardian), Cynn, Aidan, Eve, and Devona.

-Unwaking Waters, with potential forms of all five of the main hero crew, plus Togo (reskinned turret engie), Danika, Argo, Talon Silverwing, and Nika. Anyone not chosen is an NPC helper.

-The last segments of The Deep and Urgoz’s Warren.

-Tihark Orchard, an entire fractal based around party games, dancing, and general upper class hobnobbing. No combat required.

-Ruins of Morah linked to Abaddon’s Gate, consecutive boss fights.

-Assault on the Stronghold, with actual siege mechanics.

-The massive naval battle of Lady Glaive and the sunspears.

-The last stand of the spirits at Gunnar’s Hold, holding off Jormag.

-Scorchrazor’s battle against the Flame Legion and the victory of the Charr rebellion.

-The ancient battle against the dragons, with five heroes: one Jotun, one Seer, one Mursaat, one Dwarf, and one Forgotten.

-An “alternative” history segment, where the fate of Tyria lies in the hands of the five new “great” races: Skritt, Quaggan, Grawl, Ogre, and Hylek. Very tongue-in-cheek.

-The original Guild Wars and the Battle of Kyhlo.

-A “Food Chain” puzzle based map. Everyone starts out as a weak creature, and you earn new creature forms by eating other beings in the area. Progression requires a balance of power and utility, using different animal forms to your advantage.

-A vehicle battle, sailing ships or flying ornithopters via skill transformation and exotic movement.

-Arcade segments. Oakhearts versus Risen tower defense, Turtle Command blasting juggernauts with Luxon jade cannons, Junundu Smash providing cooperative pac-man action, etc.

-Voltron-style inverse boss battle. The players control one segment of a world boss (legs, arms, head) and must hold off an irritating horde of player races rushing in to farm you for loot.

-Karkacalypse. An endless swarm of karka hatchlings chase you through an obstacle course.

I would like to see a fractal where Karka rule the world.

After farming em for so long, I kinda got attached to those guys..

Maybe more “bonus” fractals on even fractals besides Jade Sea? How about the Abaddon boss fight in GW1 with GW2 mechanics?

Or what about a remake of a gw1 mission?

OOOOooooo how about a Fractal where Risen act like rich, fancy Gentlemen with a British accent? (Sort of like the Personal Story mission with the Mesmer Magic.)

Ive got a few more.
Helping Kitah defend Dinfang from the naitahlen organized invasion led by naitahlen admiral, Appollonia.

Kitah could create tons of clones of the characters (like she does in the lore) turning each player into their own strikeforce.

Helping Teinai defeat mang (who Ive always suspected was rodgort <.<)
Player would need to enrage mang, and then lure him over the ice lake, hold him there as teinai completes the spell to shatter the ice and drown him.

Helping Zojun defeat the wizard magadore. Players would be tasked with taming animals to serve in the animal army that storms magadores lair. And then obviously, fighting said wizard.

A karka fractal. Considering they are ingame without any lore or minimal sense more than a fast daily distraction for gathering

How about a Fractal making fun of test maps themselves?
