Elite Risen Illusionist… Q_Q
Risen Illusionist.
That kitten is so bloody kittenly OP that I feel like kittenly kitten a kitten kitten, I swear. My ele gets kittenly one kitten shot by that kitten.
Elite Risen Illusionist
Elite Risen Deadeye (on days where I am failing skips)
That Flame Legion/ Dredge combination after the tunnel in Molten Facility (hit like trucks)
Nightmare knights can live up to their name if you can’t permablind them.
Is that dredge from fractals with a lot of hp an elite or a veteran?

A veteran
those new flying plant creatures in dry top with the spin to win.
mark k golems in coe with the laser of death
Wynd Cloud | Fierce N Licious
Elite Risen Illusionist
Elite Destroyer Crab
Elite Risen Hunter
Elite Nightmare Knight
Elite Inquest Mega-Blaster
These are my top five elite threats in dungeons in order from most threatening to least threatening.
Karka… why? have you ever played with a horrible pc and bad internet connection? Those guys are invisible to me… yea, I sometimes can’t see them -.-.
I dueled a illusionist risen a few days ago very fun.
My personal opinions:
1. Elite Risen Illusionists – because nothing should be that OP
2. Elite Vile Oozes – because somebody thought rapidly hitting attacks that inflict vuln, cripple, weakness, and poison on a pathing mob is a good idea
3. Elite Nightmare Knights – because Earthshaker wasn’t annoying enough in PvP
4. Elite Bandit Thugs – because they make everything else more annoying
5. Elite Godforged Hellstorms – because FIRE JETS
Back in the LA attack the Elite blademaster was able to FGS RUSH. If you immobilized it and he rushed, it was a FGS rush. Insta kill…
I actually find that Illusionists aren’t that bad, especially if you have time to select appropriate skills for them. As an engi, I can just CC them to death. Hunters are much more of a problem for me.
1. Elite Risen Hunters – because of the perma-stability, summons, and high damage
2. Inquest Technicians (Arah p2) – that perma-stun
3. Elite Vile Oozes – they move faster than you do in combat speed and can do alot of damage in a short amount of time.
4 + 5. I’ll have to add these later.
Kinda puzzled with all the risen illusionist entries myself but I’m looking from a 1v1 perspective.
Otherwise yeah, when fight is stationary and against multiple targets chaos storm will screw you unless illusionists are controlled or you extremely outdps.

I believe risen jesters do that. But they’re a rare sight so not sure. I remember guys dying to one in similar way but since it was a champion they could be dead to bombs as well.

I don’t know about fear exactly, but, there are a few I’ll actually go out of my way to fight:
- Inquest Mega-Blaster
- Risen Abomination
- Elite Godforged Hellstorm
Mostly when I favor a dungeon mob it’s because I think they have good synergy in the group they’re in, and tend to find them less compelling alone:
- Nightmare Court Knights + Nightmare Court Cultists
- Bandit Saboteur + Bandit Enforcer
- Dominated Deadeye + Dominated Defiler/ Risen Sentinel
- Bandit Rifleman + Bandit Bomber
- Mark P Support Golem + Mark K Assault Golem
- Elite Risen Illusionist + Practically Anyone

You do realise the illusionists channel auto attack hits for a lot? Even a warrior gets rekt if they dont have CC or an invuln. Its not an issue in a group. But solo its erggghhh.

Anyways, top 3 hardest elites for me are :
1.Elite Risen Hunter
2.Elite Inquest Technician
3.Elite Godforged Hellstorm

Risen hunter i kill under 5 seconds the magic is reflection. I guess every class has his kryptonit
Subversion Specialist > Inquest Technician.
Warriors are able to absolutely decimate elite risen hunters with EASE. Just make sure there isn’t an NPC around since they essentially buff the hunters with perma-bouncing axes.

It’s not on an instant cooldown I believe. Also line of sight-able though not as sure there. And if you absolutely must kill one of them you sure can prepare at least 2 control skills.
I just remember that I had to 1v1 those few times and didn’t have much problems, but yeah, I play a warrior. Classes with lower hp pools and less self-buffs would have more problems I guess.

The elite risen defilers with the noxious auras in Arah P2 are the hardest if you try to melee them. Their poison ticks for > 2k.
As long as you can abuse corners, illusionist should only be a problem if Chaos Storm stuns you and you panic.

It is on instant cooldown. Only way to reliably survive solo is to abuse LoS. Which is not always possible or safe (aggro more risen by accident).
Yeah just tried, it is indeed instant. Guess I used corners then.

The warriors are much harder, you can just LoS the Mages and walk out of their AoE.
The warriors spam an autoattack that does at least 7k, and occasionally use a Rush which has .75s cast time (in melee) and deals 22k damage.
Elite Earth Elemental (fotm 50)
It’s actually “only” a Veteran.
Hardest to solo in melee fotm edition (silver and below), assuming no blindspam:
1. Ascalonian Warrior.
2. Lashtail Devourer(s). They have a channeled poison+cripple attack that CCs and kills my ele in 1s.
3. Sons of Svarnir (Bow and maybe Greatsword). Their barrage denies meleeing really hard and forces you to dodge out at least once or twice. You also constantly have to break LoS because of the channeled attacks. And if you give them ample time they summon pets which also almost 1-shot you.
4. Earth Elemental(s). Ring of Earth – 16k. duh.
5. Fanatic(s), when you cannot instantly burst. Their life-siphoning skill easily does 16k with only a few crits.
(edited by Aleth.9630)
Chanters or Fanatics? I know that Fanatics’s Heartseeker is pretty bad.
Edit: typo.

Chanters of Fanatics? I know that Fanatics’s Heartseeker is pretty bad.
Pretty much anything they do 1 or 2shots you, especially since they are high-level and have a high chance to crit you.

And you can LoS the ascalonian warriors, line of warding, blind and dodges and they are useless.
