buff Destiny's Edge's HP/armor on story mode
Yes, please do. It’s hard to believe those guys took down Dragon Champions and intended to kill an Elder Dragon when they go down 10 seconds into every fight.
In my opinion no harm would come if they were actually invulnerable, since you don’t get any good loot from story mode.
only time DE was remotely useful was Logan in CoF story.
“Watch out for the Fireball!”
and towards the end his massive Sanctuary bubble.
if Anet keep having us working with an npc in each dungeon path i strongly suggest they make them useful like Logan was in CoF, either give them a unique ability for a boss fight or simply give Audio Cue’s for boss attacks albeit please dont make that ability have a short cooldown for the sake of having to put up with a screaming npc.
All allied NPCs are a terrible nuisance in the instances. Not only are they mostly useless and contribute nothing to the fight, they also prevents bosses from resetting and cause various other issues and generally just get in the way.
That’s why I try to keep the NPCs dead for as long as possible.
I will have you know that we are total pro’s and don’t need any buffs! Ohhh ohh you mean the NPC not our guild okay pfew
But yes, They do die an awful lot in every fight. Hardly come across as hero’s when they get knocked out by one hit. That said it doesn’t bother me too much either since us real destiny’s edge can handle the job just fine without them!

wow, i’m glad this thread actually got some support. didn’t expect many people to care about story mode on this board, glad to be wrong
Been hoping for this forever. It’s fine to make them do smalltime damage, but at least let them easily survive against some unknown bandits or whatever, from personal storymode to dungeon story mode. You might as well strip off their purple legendary status and give them veteran or even normal mob status at the rate they get defeated so frequently.
We’ve been comparing Logan to Rurik — just as useful, just as annoying.
If we were allowed to vote, I would vote FOR the motion.
Mhenlo, Togo, Evennia, the NPCs in the newer content after the events of EotN, and so on ... When not acting as henchman, the NPCs were decently useful in their own ways. Even Rurik’s Leeroy mentality was somewhat effective. So far, my experience has been that the DE members are there to deliver lines only.
Just make them not targetable/part of the fight, like Kormir for almost all of Nightfall when she came along on a mission, and be done with it.
