dodging mai trin tele shot(thief)?
If you want to dodge the pistol shot you have begin the withdraw after the pistol has left her gun but before it impacts you since she targets your location upon firing. If you do it too soon it will have time to adjust and follow you, and if I’m not mistaken the reason it works is that during the movement skill the game thinks your hit box is where you started similar to lupi’s shadow walk.
so in other words, I should do the action while the bullet is travelling, right? Ok thx for the info. gonna try again later
You can also do it with heartseeker if you leap perpendicular to her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmmuZS8npp8 skip to 1:20

You need to time the skill relative to how far you are away from her, it’s all a matter of learning the timing. Here’s a rough list of skills you can use to avoid it on thief descending in how reliable and easy they are to use:
“Drink” from steal (Invuln)
Smokescreen
Dagger Storm
Withdraw
Heartseeker
Shadowstep
Infiltrator’s Arrow
Infiltrator’s Return, strike and signet
Shadow Shot
Steal
Roll for initiative
Flanking Strike
Shadow Strike
Shadow Trap

Yes. I guess I didn’t time it well. I actually learnt from your video. I wonder why withdraw is more reliable than roll for iniative, is it bcoz of the cooldown since their mechanic is almost the same?
withdraw is instant, roll is not.
Yeah, roll always feels a bit more sluggish to me, but again it’s just a list I wrote quickly so the placement of some of them can be discussed.

Unless latency is messing up my perception, you can still do it before just as long as you are in movement from withdraw when her teleport shot initiates, tested this multiple times and is working for me as long as you are not within range of the actual strike when she reaches teleport destination.

So I tried it again. Withdraw is really easy to pull off.
Is dodge jump still a viable way ? I tried it several time and failed miserably. Should I dodge jump when she points the gun immediately. Heartseeker is also hard for me.

it is possible, yes. But I manage to do it most reliably when quite a range away from her, I don’t recall if I managed to do it while close to her. It just seems to catch up to the dodge jump if you’re too close.
