dungeon difficulty
They’re only overly challenging when everyone tries to do their own thing while using glass cannon specs and beserker gear. Get some cheap knights armor and some defensive utilities/traits, mark targets to focus down, then enjoy the easy run.

It’s fine for the most part, just a few encounters should be toned down a little, like Magg in CoF.
There are things that need better balance, that much is true. I can’t remember the instance, think CoF, but the final boss on path 1 sucks. I know you’re suppose to destroy crystals and dps him down, but the crystals spawn far to fast so you have to burn him down instead. I know that’s not the way ANet wants the fight done, but you can’t do it any other way.
nah dungeons are horrible and if most of us dont like them they need to fix them…

People complain about endgame, and how the game lacks PvE difficulty at endgame and then come on the dungeon forums about how hard they are. Assuming the threads about dungeon difficulty are making legitimate claims and are not simply trolling; they just aren’t working together with their parties.
I find dungeons fun, I havent had a single run lasting over an hour and have never (to date, fingers crossed) given up on a dungeon bc of difficulty.
Like others who posted that are for the difficulty – try WORKING with your team, their built around the idea that players should work together, hence why it even has listed on the dungeon interface [Recommended Players:5].
ANet has a little tweaking left to do with the DR and rewards systems. But for the most part – the difficulty is pretty solid. In some cases it even needs additional challenge (Final boss in TA – attacks = bugged).
Hey Jaxichael, the people you hear complaining are the people who break boss fights or exploit.
Story mode is just fine.I can clear everything with a pug.Yes there are some bosses which need a little more balancing but in total stor mode is good.Explorable mode is only for Hard core players and organised groups.
It needs tweaking and to convey things a little better for story mode.
But A-net will just have to tell players to accept that no, you can’t go all glasscannon and expect to clear every dungeon on explorable, and that it’s intended that way for good reasons

do you NEED three specific players to be built in one specific optimal way out of all their options?
No?
then there is no trinity, that does NOT mean, nor did it EVER mean, that you wouldn’t have pseudo roles in dungeons groups such as debuffing, control peeling etc
even if you’re fully geared and traited for DPS, as long as you bring group utilities you’re fine, I don’t see why this is SO difficult for people to understand :S
Do people actually WANT, to stand there in one place and rotate dps skills and cooldowns, dodge the odd enemy skill and then collect loot? :S

Because that is a fallacious statement that shows you either haven’t been running explorable modes or are getting hardcore carried.
Great! so you don’t agree with me so you claim I’m being hardcore carried lol, I’ve ran plenty of dungeons explorable and story, I’ve pulled plenty of bums out of fires from dps slap happy players that were playing wrong, I’ve carried far more than I’ve been carried, besides it’s supposed to be a mutual thing not one “carrying the other”
If your experience is different than mine however that’s understandable, but we need MORE input from you aside from “It sucks cos I can’t go glascannon if 4 others do it”
are you trying to as many seem to do, force round pegs into square holes? do you build for toughness as well as damage jump in as melee and thus gain aggro faster due to proximity toughness and dps?
and yes I’m also well aware that there are some aspects of all dungeon types that need to be tweaked, I was shocked and appalled at the caudecus manor buff in difficulty for story mode. Still am to be honest.
But if you disagree, then give us more examples than that, give me a REASON with details instead of just “you clearly got carried”
