So I read on gw2 wiki, any confirmation if that will be implemented on HoT?
I dig the fractal dagger so much but RNG is so bad.

its apparently in the game already but only for lvl 51 and up. make of that what you will from anet.

if they raise the fractal level which a lot of us are hoping for, then we’ll probably start getting it on the next tier.

So has it ever been in the game? I know that there was a time when you can go up past lvl 50, right?

Well the same update that introduced the fractal box for +51 levels also introduced the lvl 50 hardcap.

for all intents and purposes, its not in the game atm. I would expect to be able to get it whenever they raise the fractal cap past 50.

Basically:

1) they said they would add it and a fractal leaderboard
2) reset everyone’s fractal progress to prepare for the changes
3) Introduced the FotM 50 level cap
4) Added the box, restricted it to drop from FotM 51+ (e.g. unplayable levels)
5) Still waiting on the leaderboard.

Don’t remember exactly when all of this happened, but it’s been at least a year.

I’d say something snarky, but I don’t think I need to here. It sorta speaks for itself.

I’m at 173 level 50 fotm (since I started keeping track 9 months ago) without getting my dagger, I made the incinerator a while ago when I realized I was not going to get the fractal one. To me it feels like farming mobs in orr hoping to get the precursor you want.

I don’t have the old post in my pocket anymore but someone did the numbers on it, if you run 150 lvl50 fotm’s you’ll have ~50% chance at getting the skin you wanted. Don’t take that to mean that you need 300 runs for 100% since things don’t work that way but 173 runs isn’t that large when talking about 1 specific skin out of 19.
(I spent the better part of 2 years grinding in fotm daily, to be at 16/19 skins so I know your pain.)

Something similar for me. Been running fractals since it came out and just got the Dagger the past week. Two fractal 50s later, get another dagger . ..

I just need the Axe now.

Weird thing is, other people in my guild just need the Mace which was the first 5 weapon skins I got while those same people have 4+ Axes.

Thx for the info guys. It’s fully RNG like playing lottery ha3. 1 week ago, I got 3 fractal skins (mace, longbow, and warhorn). Since, I don’t have anything to do in GW2 anymore, I plan to collect all fractal skins but this RNG frustates me.

I would sell my body for a fractal staff to match the fractal GS that dropped for me on a level 28 run.

Spear dropped for me on Monday. Mace and Torch are all thats left.

Also just to point out, when HoT hits, they’re adding a group of fractal related masteries, but the details about them aren’t clear. They could very well introduce higher tiers of fractals as well, which in theory could contain fractal boxes, so if fractal skins are your goal, I’d recommend crafting ascended gear and infusions and what not and raising your fractal level to 50 to be able to jump into 51+ right away when it comes out.

P.S. I think, no, I’m sure, that the fractal weapon box – if it’ll ever see its light ingame which I doubt – will have an abysmal drop rate, just slightly higher than the tonic.

I’ve had four (4) fractals daggers so far. I have 3 spare fractal dagger skins sitting on some bank alts inv. Also 3 gs skins, 3 hammers, 3 axes, 3 swords etc…:D

But I still want the warhorn and sb, which are the only skins I don’t yet have…

It’s literally the least they could do. If they don’t even do that, it’ll send a pretty strong message, yeah?

I think they just add the masteries, which are like achivements prolly, without adding anymore levels or adding more any more fractals or end bosses.

The pve focus is open world zerging with gliders and kitten. Killing the dragons once more with random zerglings

My first skin was Spear, second was Trident I think. My last 2 (unique) skins were Mace and GS. After that (next week) I got another 2 maces in the same day (50/40). Currently missing Focus and Shield.

To note, I got most of my skins after they fixed the lvl 50 drop rate. (Which was not so long ago if I recall).

P.S. I want end-game fractal armor skin. Ideally, the look would be unique for each profession/gender. Ok i’ll stop here.

Ah the dreams, hopefully guys we get some kind of improvement in fractals. The weapon skins I dont have are only the spear, speargun, focus and SWORD! I hvae everything else but oh well. Considering that these weapon skins are rarer than legendaries. I actually just got the tonic last week. Man was that a feeling.

Please Anet add more fractal levels already!

Yeah, after I’ve got all skins that I want and my money keep piling up, unique skins like fractal skins can keep me going. That feeling when you finally get the fractal skin that you want is amazing

I run fractals for ascended chests. I grow to love collecting these cookie boxes.

They should give some achievement points LOL. The struggle is real.

lol thank you, I had a friend who was missing the mace as well. It took him nearly 6 months. I hope I get my speargun in much shorter time.

I also do hope they fix the fractal collection and put a nice “fat” reward at the end.
Also while I am dreaming, might as well give us “The Fall of Abbadon” along with progress to lvl 60 =P

ya…. I remember completing the fractal achievements only to realize you dont even get a title. Completing the skin collection should definitely have a title or ascended box.

I think I’ve had it pretty good so far. I finally got the rifle skin last week. I’ve been wanting that since fractal skins were released.

All of my skin drops so far have been unique. No repeats. Sword sceptre axe shortbow longbow shield spear rifle focus. I’ve already gotten most if not all of the ones I want. The remainder will be a sweet bonus

I’m missing focus, dagger, mace and greatsword. Hoping for focus now. But i got double shortbow, sword and rifle.
I still find it weird how there is no skin achievement for skins.
