fractal rewards are horrible like Mai Trin
I think everyone agrees with you about the rewards. It’s so SO stupid.
What I think should be the case:
Pristine Relics:
-10x for ring
-30x for infused ring
Introduce more ways to make use of vials of condensed, globs of coagulated, and shards of crystallized mist essences:
-either mystic forge recipes or crafting recipes involving them to form perhaps lumps of mithrillium, globs of elder spirit residue, spools of silk weaving thread, or spools of thick elonian cord.
-mystic forge recipes that would enable one to perhaps convert a certain amount of them into pristine/regular fractal relics?
As for fractal weapons…
I feel like they’ve been done horribly. A simple yet effective solution of keeping them extremely rare yet possible to acquire would be to have them dropped in FotM like they already are, but you can only get the ones you don’t already have unlocked in the wardrobe. Also, I would not be opposed to adding them to the vendor for 100x pristine relics each.
Tonic should be kept as it is in my opinion. I kind of like the idea of there being something extremely rare to obtain but not beneficial in any sort of way. Just something that’s there and will freak me out if I ever get it.

I think Boxes are a better idea. If someone only gets two Fractal Skins in 400 runs and they are Harpoon and Spear he’ll still be insanely frustrated. Same for asc. weapons and armor. Just give us a container please :|
And furthermore I don’t think anyone would trade 30 pristine relics for an infused ring when any frequent fractal runner – which you have to be in order to have so many pristine relics you don’t need for anything else – doesn’t know what to do with all the shards, globs and vials.
I get your point, but not everyone has a lot of those materials to use the forge recipe. I personally have uh… 122 shards of crystallized mist essence atm, but I have spoken to friends with over 100 relics and only like 20 of em.
Either way, the option wouldn’t hurt and wouldn’t take much effort to implement. The ideas I suggested took that into account because ultimately I’d like to rework a lot more than just the reward system for fractals :P
GW2 rewards are bad,.. now that is something I didn’t heard before!
Fractals just needs to be looked over again just because some classes (the necromancers most likely) doesn’t have the utility/weapon skills or traits to do fractals. If they lack the support aspect in the game at least they should do more dps, but they don’t. There should be an equilibrium in support skills to damage output.
Same with fractals, the reward should be based off which fractal instances were done and on the time it took to complete the run. Or at least have certain fractal instances have an increase reward based off the set time it should take each instance to be done.
As for the mist essences, having a way to craft them into dragonite ores will be great or any of the other two. It’ll also be nice to have a ring vendor that trade our unwanted rings. Non-infused rings for 5 dragonite ores/empyreal shard/bloodstone dust or 10 for infused rings.
I still think they should allow players to purchase a Fractal Weapon skin box for a high number of Pristine Fractal Relics. That way, you know that even if you have absolutely terrible RNG luck, if you stick with Fractals long enough, you WILL get what you’re after eventually. They did it for dungeon gear, so why not Fractals?
They can t because level 10 would be more rewarding than running 50 since the droprate is so low.
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
Rewards for higher Fractal tiers need to be improved, I agree. But speaking solely about the Fractal skins, I still think 250 Pristine Fractal Relics would be a fair price for one. If you’ve done that many Fractals runs and you STILL don’t have the skin you’re after, I think it’s fair enough for you to be able to get one for free by that point.
i say that one more time
the items you get in fractals are not “rewards” but rng drop !
reward is something you want and deserve after hard effort
rng drop is when the guy who die most in the fractals and go afk every 2 seconds have no ar and don’t know how to use his skills get zojja weapon box and you get 3 blues and unifused ring
still easier to make 3 skins for 1 box in forge.

I very much agree with the idea of giving us a way of working towards skins. I love the PvP reward tracks and would like to have something like that in fractals as well. There’s a dozen ways of implementing this. You could progress by completing fractal runs and your progress would depend on the specific fractals you got. Or you could have specific requirements at the end of each tier like complete MT or run aquatic. This would introduce a little RNG and timegating. Its not something I would do but ANET seems to love that stuff so.
250 pristine relics seems a bit much and a tad uncreative. Fractal reward tracks would give ANET a way of incentivizing certain fractals and balancing rewards/progress according to fractal difficulty.
Furthermore I want to repeat what I said: completely replace skins with boxes. Goes for ascended stuff as well.
Also: 3g instead of 1g please. And +1 on exchanging rings for dragonite.

I think the pvp reward tracks was a poor implementation because you’re getting rewards that are meant to be from completing dungeons, but oh well.

That’s because they wanted people who only play PvP to have a chance at crafting legendaries and getting skins and equipment.
Pvp tracker is a great way to get people to play Pvp, but we need Hero’s ascent and Guild vs. Guild back. Guildwars 2 hasn’t had a guild battle in years! We need it back.
I wouldn’t mind having a PVP fractal tracker. When you just don’t have the time for a full fractal run doing a few games of Pvp would be nice.
And fix the undodgeable pistol attack of Mai Trin, that doesn’t fit the game mechanic at all. In a game where dodges are suppose to be a self support move, not being able to dodge something doesn’t make sense.

While I dont particularly like the idea of a PvP tracker (or a steady way to get skins at all) I feel if they implemented it and required a high enough lvl (maybe 40?) it would still retain its value. and yes allow dodge of mai trin’s gun I’m tried of warriors who don’t know how to block it >.>
I know what their intentions were when releasing it but that doesn’t mean I agree with it.
It is my opinion that as far as PvP is concerned, GW2 has the absolute worst out of any game I’ve ever heard of. The reward system makes it even more embarrassing for me, because they’re handing out rewards from dungeons from it. Getting orrian armor has absolutely nothing to do with the themepark red vs. blue conquest matches, so it isn’t suitable as a reward from it.

Miku orrian armor lost its value at the same time DM did. It’s not like Arah is hard, just lupi, and then sellers made it even worse along with lupi skips/boat. I just wish they allow us to buy those exclusive PvP skins with dungeon tokens. Maybe get thoses pvpers to do pve content
Oh don’t get me wrong I always hated getting stuff like Arah armor in PvP. When I said I love the PvP reward tracks I was merely talking about the concept. You have clears goals laid out for you and you’re constantly progressing. There’s different tiers and at the end you get the big shiny in this case a fractal skin.
That’s what Id like to see for fractals with more creative ways of progress than just complete x fractals for progress.
