Q:

HOPE gw2 can have some new things to farm .
yeah GW2’s players have farmed the same dungeon and the same FOTM for years =_="
i know there are lots of events in GW2
But lots of people are waiting for some new and exciting challenge as the annual big patch ~~~
And we all hate the mode like FOTM . Collecting AR accessory is just a GEAR COMPETITION . it’s not funny . No kidding. Actually ………..FOTM is boring.
We all like dungeon’s mode. It could be more difficult and have more bosses like wild-gold-boss of PVE map in it .
Dungeon gears could be pink gears and the strongest gear type . Thus the dungeon became extremely hard .

THE " HEAL- ATTACK-DEFFENSE 3IN 1 CHARACTER " MAKES THIS GAME SO EASY

THERE CAN BE MORE THINGS TO TEST PLAYER’S TECHNIQUE
ex: agile boss , highly mobile boss <— i mean it runs very fast and not to just stand still.
“move while attacking” =>> moving attack =>> This will make the boss more like a melee type boss and not just a range boss
( NOT TO TEST PLAYER’S GEARS LIKE FOTM that’s very boring )

I know that it is wrong to judge a book based on its cover, but between the account name, the excessive use of capitals, the improper use of punctuation, the unpleasant to the eyes formatting and the general subjectivity, I’m not sure that this suggestion will be well-received.

I do agree that we need more and better content, though.

The majority of boss fights I’ve seen thus far have required zero communication and/or organization, and have basically been five people soloing a champ that happened to pop during a dynamic event – it just happens that they’re all in a dungeon/fractal together.

Soft trinity + bosses with ADD and no taunts = that. Hard trinity isn’t necessary. Organization to the fight is.

I think you’re missing something here… AC P1.. Are you telling me that people that have never done this dungeon wouldn’t need to communicate to take down the burrows? They’ll just walk down there, see stuff spawn, kill it all and win? I really don’t think so. Think of your first time there… before people knew what to do. Maybe you didn’t experience that.. I know I did, every dungeon, before people knew what to do, was very difficult and wipes were a very common occurrence. A lot of players have had 2 years experience with these dungeons.. over and over and over and over.. I don’t believe that if you add in a trinity or a soft trinity or ANYTHING will make it so people need to communicate if they’ve run that same content for YEARS. I honestly think everything is fine as is… we just need NEW dungeons or paths. Well.. thats my take on it anyway.

Yea everyone knows how ’’good’’ and ’’awesome’’ is the RNG in GW2.
Having the ’’potential’’ to give some expensive items?This really made me laugh.
Also every hard core player goes for 2 things in MMOs:

  1. Challenging content
  2. Rewarding content

If one of those two things is missing in the formula then it’s not worth the time.Why do i like raids in other games?Not that they are gated behind gear but because they bring me challenge with approtiate reward.

We run aetherpath pretty often and i saw some skins dropping there.
And according to your first post; I am a hardcore player and I go for challenging stuff but i do it because I like the challenge and not the rewards! MMO’s are made to please a big variety of players but you know that i am sure..
So Mr. Tequatlslayer, don’t tell what and why hardcore players do!

So you want something that’s challenging and rewarding.

Aetherpath is difficult with bad groups (see: challenging) and offers some of the highest costing skins loot-able in game (bar Precursors/expensive Mystic Forge items) that are also trade-able (see: rewarding).

But then suddenly it’s too difficult and not rewarding anymore because you don’t immediately get rewarded.

Then there’s Fractals which are artificially difficult (meaning you actually have to, dear lord, change up your build mid-run and optimize for each section). You also don’t particularly get good items to sell, but you do get loads of T5/6 materials on the higher difficulties. But no, that’s not rewarding enough even though it’s basically guaranteed to get you a handful of T6 fine mats (unless you trash skip for days).

Okay, so Aetherpath seems like the best option to sate your desire, but suddenly you’re pulling out the “I don’t want to grind for high-end goods” card.

Logically, if you wanted something to be expensive/“rewarding” (in direct profits, not enjoyability), you’d have to make it hard to obtain, either through tons of grinding/gating or through low RNG. Aetherpath is just the right difficulty that it dissuades PUGs (even though it’s definitely do-able with randoms, as long as each person individually understands game mechanics, which can be a longshot). Because it’s not part of normal dungeon farm rotations (yeah, sure, your speed run guild runs it [not looking at your GrimmR, it’s just generalizing], but that doesn’t mean everyone does it), it does not end up getting lots of players in to counteract the low RNG, thus there is little supply and high demand (in the hunt to get decent, rare skins).

But nope, that’s not fun. You just want to run a dungeon that’s not only difficult (but easy enough to do without having to fail, of course) that also gives you great rewards money.

Think about this. Maybe it’s not the dungeons or the game that need improving. Maybe you’re looking at how you want to be rewarded wrong.

I think anet really needs to wake up and realize the lack of challenging content for small coordinated groups is really hurting this game. I’m back playing gw1 because it has Hard Mode and some dungeons that are still freakin hard as hell. Sure I have some builds that make this content “easy” but that’s because the builds I use are well optimized by myself and the community. I want new, different, and challenging content. I won’t return to gw2 until that happens.( though I may log in to get the living story unlocks so I have em for free.)
