Is it me growing too old or are people on gw2lfg less polite, less skilled and more fake elitist everyday?

When do we get an ingame LFG tool? Oh, and a combat logs that actually shows combat logs.

We are relics of a bygone era, sad to say. It’s been a long time since reputation mattered enough to cause people try to and be polite.

The skeletal outline for an in-game LFG feature has been datamined in the last patch, according to reddit. So, soonish.

You can post your own advertisements up there as well.

There are a lot more nice friendly peoples.

Actually most of the good players left game or play rarely. And even my little sister can be elite cause it takes little skill once you get the basics.

If you don’t like gear checks or speed runs or whatever, then start your own group specifically stating the criteria YOU want. I guarantee those groups will fill up fast. Don’t join someone else’s group and complain about THEIR criteria.

EDIT: In all seriousness, people are people. You will always have your fakes, they are there whether you notice them or not. Question is, why are you creating a thread about them / an in-game tool that has already been promised to us before2013 is over?

I love the people that have a laundry list of requirements for you in order to join their group:

All exotics
Max lvl on a low lvl dungeon
Ascended gear
The correct build

Then they just cheese run the thing anyway. You don’t need experience or ascended gear to literally swiftness through an entire dungeon then exploit a boss.

When you get a bunch of people that can’t skip properly next thing you have is someone crying on the forums that skipping doesn’t work and shouldn’t exist.

If you want to avoid the ‘fake elitists’ then this tool is now giving you a good way to do that. You can exclude them as much as they might exclude you. If the game gets a ‘throw everyone together’ lfg tool then you’ll get lots of groups of unhappy people.

Its not exactly related to the 1st topic but it is interesting.
I’m a runner, and a good one, I can pretty much run though any dungeon, than go back rez people and carry them to the other end.

However there is an obvious problem with trash skipping (I leave alone boss exploiting since Anet seems to actually try to do something for it). Why would a game designer put trash mobs in a dungeon if you don’t have to fight them, you even dont have to avoid them, to stealth; or time patrols… you just run through stuff and than it resets.
It makes no sense, you could also remove them.

To go back to the topic. It is true that gw2lfg is now full of kitten CoF farmers, but I’m actually not talking about them. Farming hundred time the same thing is boring and stupid, there is not reason why farming people wouldn’t be boring and stupid too.

I started the topic because I realised the other day that I always used the website rather than my server /map channel because of the quality. Last week I noticed end up grouping more on my server now. For the same reason…

I know what you mean TC. I’ve seen some pretty bad ads up on there. I personally stick with a “Experienced players only, I just expect you to have been in the dungeon and know how it works. All classes will be accepted.”

The only times I’ve ever seen the “ping gear” requirement is for COF path 1, maaybe for Arah and sometimes for Fractals 20-30 (to show you have enough AR). Usually by Fractals high 30s and 40s, people don’t even require you to ping gear to show AR anymore. Anyone attempting that level should have enough AR and it’ll be pretty obvious if they do not.
