so I remember any where from a few months ago to a few years ago anet made an official acknowledgment that zerk meta was bad. i’m trying to find the source of their quote that went something like this “when any one rune or build becomes the only acceptable build or rune that is unacceptable” I know for a fact i read this but searching forums and news posts and feature pack content I can’t find the source. I had thought it was the april feature pack blog posts. but I can’t find it in there. anyways does anyone remember this/can anyone point me at the source of this quote? I need it so i can quote it exactly and cite source.

check the post at the top of the general forums for how to use google to more thoroughly search the gw2 forums, I’ve heard something along those lines, but I have no clue when, and I don’t remember who said it

thank you for at least showing that I am not a liar as some have said. you remember it too. I tried the google search thing, but as I can’t say where I read it and the search article mentions needing the forum you want searched, I can’t really use it for this.

start with the dungeons forums, most of the berserker salt harvesting occurred there. you can also see if you can search specifically for dev comments, or the general forum. chances are it wasn’t in the profession forums or the HoT, player helping player, bug, etc.. forums

a dev says in this “we are taking steps to deal with the dominance of berserker dps in dungeons more on this next week”

i think “next week” had the quote i am looking for, but again i can’t find it. at least i found an offical quote showing they think it’s a problem worth solving.

I think that was back when they made changes to critical damage calculation.

Yes copied the wrong one, its alittle over half way down the first page. ( on a fun side not that was the only red post in the whole 16 page thread that ended 11 days later so the more info next week dident seem to happen)

We are trying to take steps to address some of the dominance of Berserker/DPS players. More info next week, I think.
